Oh, no! $1! How will I *ever* afford that.

People paid good money for RvB episodes before, both during the season and for the DVDs.

And YouTube? You can bet they'll be taken down almost as soon as they're put up. Something about LICENSING RIGHTS.

Eighty Microsoft points isn't so bad, but that's probably the maximum I'd be willing to pay for this sort of thing. Now, if this was a Strong Bad e-mail about Halo, I'd pay out my ass in billybucks for it, and I'd be happy about it.

If you're a sponsor on their site, they said they'd try to get it to you for free soon after they post it on XBLM.

Ok, so these guys think they are professional film makers who should charge people for this? I thought this was amateurs who were doing it for the spirit of fun. Guess I was wrong. It's kinda lame that they think it's worth (any) money ...

@elmersglue, well until you can make something equally great in internet's eyes then you have every right to bitch and complain. At least RT did something that tries to be funny and entertaining to the masses and you know I think your just mad that people are that simple and RT just capalized on the success and making $$$ from it while having the talent to make machinima from using the xbox/360. If you think you can come out with better then I'll like to see it (but you prob, say I have something better to do with my time like rest of the loosers out there just talk crap) but remember this there's no such thing as a perfect comedy.

At siddharth s : They've been at it for quite a while, have 5 DVDs... make that 6, and have been charging $10 for six months access for 3 years. Of course they can charge for RvB.

To correct E.J. though, the first episode is indeed available online for sponsors. Check Burnie's journal for the forum link.

elmersglue - Here, here! They aren't that funny - unless you're a teenager who doesn't get out much. I've force myself to sit through their free videos on XBLM, both the RvB and the Shadowrun ones. I'm still waiting for the funny ones. So I'm supposed to give them props because they got bored and started recording videos and are getting paid? Let me ask you then... are Uwe Boll movies THAT MUCH better because he's making even more money? Getting paid = quality? Puh-leeze.

If they made this mini-series with Halo 3 then I'd pay 80 ms points. But a 3 year old method of machinima really isn't worth the 1 dollar, I'll watch it on veoh.

rvb crap has been stupid and childish from day one. I cant believe it became popular. You would have to pay ME over 400 MS points to sit through one episode.

I still cant believe people find that garbage funny.

I wouldn't pay for it. RvB is ok, but not worth the money.

I can't even seem to find where to go in video marketplace to spend my money and download this. I hate the way the marketplace is set up...it desperately needs a search feature!

RvB was mildly funny back in the day. But now... they've taken the joke far too far. In my opinion, watching Master Chief models from Halo 2 jiggle their heads up and down, while grown men put on poor comedic voices isn't entertainment.

And now to charge 80 MSPoints seems like they've become far too full of themselves as well. There are people doing much better parodies, and offering them for free.

actually if you look back you'll see that RT has put out a low level version of every episode they've made (with a few exeptions) and the ones that have made it to the XBLM cost 80mp an episode so don't whine about it cause they will probably make downgraded version for the website for free and for those who hate RvB and/or RT qwuitcherbitchen and don't read the articules you 12 year old trolls

wait, so the guys saying that dubbing over lame voices to a multiplayer halo session with bobbing heads is lame are the 12 year olds? right...i think the funniest stuff theyve done is the shit they did in halo 3 with the door knocking thing... all versions of that were pretty humorous

I don't know much about RvB. I guess I am more concerned about how they continue to expand the ways to charge you on XBL and PSN. It seems like they are moving toward making every download something they can get a little bit of money for.
This is unrelated to RvB, but it seems if I pay $60 for a game, shouldn't I get the whole game? It's a matter of semantics to call something "extra content." If you put it in the game in the first place, it's not extra. It's just a more complete game.
As for the RvB, if they can get people to buy their series, all the power to them. I've seen a couple of episodes and I probably won't. But to each their own.
