I'm glad they're taking their time. I don't mind waiting if the game is benefiting from the extended schedule.

I knew this as Pitman. I didn't even know what Catrap was but I pretty much guessed and WAS RIGHT. or something.

But yea. The news? Awesome. Very very awesome. I'm more excited for this game than any other console game (not quite at Orange Box PC yet :p )

The game is almost perfect. A lot of characters, Mario, Sonic, Snake...

Level editor
Use personalized music
Great graphcis
Havok Physics
Great Multiplayer
An adventure mode
Online

It has everything, but it have just one, and only one mistake, but a big one: Stupid Friends Codes.

Im a Nintendo Fanboy... but I can accept that Friends Codes are stupid.

"use personalized music"? :o

I wasn't aware of that option in the game. Is it personalized as in what the game provides... or an actual custom soundtrack(similar to the feature in EXCITETRUCK)?

True, but at least you can play random people without the codes, a la Mario Kart DS.

Sweet! I'm not really a level-editing kind of guy, but I welcome the amount of replayability this, and online, are going to add to this game. Day one purchase, no doubt!

I probably will, but not until 2009. That's what the original Smash Bros. did to me anyway, and this one's shaping up to do the same.

yes, probably a hell of a lot of games. then again, I'm not sure what comes out in 2008 anyway. Gears of War 2, Burnout Paradise?

unless you meant Wii games, then that's probably a no since there's hardly anything worthwhile on it anyway (mainly because they haven't announced their 08 lineup yet), and I think this comes out after Mario Kart Wii.

I lost interest in melee fairly fast but I don't think that will be the case with brawl, everything about it looks fantastic.

Orange Box on the PC.
Galaxy in around 2 weeks.
Metroid Prime 3 is on back order (stop being popular, Wii).
Brawl could be the only game I buy in 2008 just because of it's awesomeness.

It doesn't ripoff Halo 3.

A. Halo didn't invent Map Making. It was out 10 years ago with titles like WarCraft 2, and Starcraft, probably even before.

B. Halo's Forge kinda sucks. You can't make maps, you can only modify existing ones. SSBB trumps that with one fell swoop.

C. Bungie doesn't distribute user-made maps as Daily Maps For Everyone.

To all the fellas out there with ladies to impress
It's easy to do, just follow these steps
1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your junk in that box
3. Make her open the box
And that's the way you do it

The only way this could be better is if you can also make Subspace Emissary mode stages. If they let us do that, I'll officially forget that LittleBigPlanet even exists.

Wow, I wish the Mario Party games would take a cue from Smash Bros. Not for the sake of the level editor, it's all the many, many features included, some of them we wouldn't have even expected. It will take months to go through all the content included in this game.

I can't wait to share my giant wang level with my friends.

I'm just waiting for them to announce the ability to choose one of your Miis and fight as it, or some other sort of character creation. At this point, it almost seems like that would be the only thing missing.

A Character Creation mode would be AWESOME. I think I would have to make Brock Sampson because if I didn't, my life would be forfeit.
...or possibly Dr. Henry Killinger (with his Magic Murder Bag).

I'd be really surprised if they didn't have Mii integration, though.

What do think the chances of having Miis as playable characters in Brawl? You could choose the move sets off of the other character sets
