Did you hear that sound? If we're not mistaken (and we only occasionally are), that was the sound of millions of fanboy heads exploding as they learned that Super Smash Bros. Brawl includes a level editor. It looks fairly flexible too, allowing you to place objects and choose their size, look, etc. You can even select your own music.
One-upping itself once again, SSBB is going to let you share those custom maps, and your friends won't be the only ones seeing your work (though that is an option). You can also send your maps to Nintendo, who will then select one map daily to send out to all players. That's right: You'll not only have a chance at map stardom, you'll be receiving a daily infusion of new content.
Be honest with us: Would a valentine to Nintendo be too creepy?

The way the daily map system works is that there is a new map each day, but it only lasts for one day. I'm not sure if you have to choose to download it each day or if it automatically does that on its own, but you aren't going to have to worry about a backup of maps: the daily map was disappear/be replaced at the end of each day.
"this means you’ll be able to experience a new stage every day—the flavor of the day, if you will. However, the plan is for that stage to vanish once one day has passed. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime encounter."
To me this says the level will only be playable for a day. That is even worse.
What do think the chances of having Miis as playable characters in Brawl? You could choose the move sets off of the other character sets

We can make fun levels too. And since it is savable to SD, this means you could set up a website with a databse full of levels. Like the wii save file database, but for Smash Bros. levels.

...potentially, at least. Who knows? Maybe Nintendo will gimp it so you can't do that.
But that really seems way to much trouble to accomplish what? Being a dick?
So you could get 1 new stage a week, or something like that, but you can't keep it (of course, if you liked it you could take a picture of it in-game, then clone it)

Then again, DK vs. Mario March of the Minis had a level editor too and daily downloads provided by Nintendo... can't say I played them much.

Then I'm making a box with only one tiny hole way up in the corner, so to get KOs you need really good aim.
Then I'm recreating the first stage of Donkey Kong.

Oh, and level editor. Awesome.

Also, this makes up the fact that you can't make your own drawings on the DS stage. Making your own stage is, in my honest opinion, far better.
In other words, Wii win!
