They really need to add more HD video codecs with as many different containers as possible. The first console to add Divx, MKV, x264-HD with usable 5.1 sound will be THE console in my living room!

To add to the chorus, I'd also like to stream any video from my PC regardless of the codec.

To add to the whisper, I'd also like to have USB mouse support added in a similar manner to the keyboard support, so that game developers can easily and quickly implement its use in games that it makes sense for like FPSes and RTSes for those of us who endlessly lament having to use a gamepad with those games. Why demand most PC games support the gamepad and not demand any Xbox games support the mouse?

Use my Pocket PC phone as a Zune. That can hook up to my Xbox 360 when all the Zune support rolls out for it.

1. Show gamerscore on friends list

2. Let me change how to sort friends list.

3. More than 5 downloads in queue. When Queue is full, and you try to download 6th, it will fail, but mark the item as downloaded, so you can't remember if you've downloaded it.

4. Purchase an entire tv series (season) at once w/ price break.

5. When viewing photos, there's not enough room to show the full folder name, so I usually can't tell what each folder is... get rid of the big icons and just give me a list view.

6. Playing music... give me an option to browse by Album Artist... not just Artist.. or browse by folder.

7. Navigating the blades is easy with a universal remote, but when you get into a sub-menu, you need to navigate with (A) and (B) buttons, which gets annoying. Make Dashboard even more remote happy. If I'm watching a movie, listening to music, I'd rather just use my Harmony remote instead of the controller.

8. More sound output options than just Dolby Digital. How about TrueHD?

9. Related.. pass through bitstream for HD-DVD adapter.

10. Better HDMI handshaking.. if your 360 boots before your stereo is ready to hand-shake, it falls back to Pro-Logic instead of DD. You have to turn off then back on the 360 to get DD. Most devices like my TiVo will re-try to HDMI handshake when changing menus.

11. Remove old credit cards from my account. Every time I buy MS points, it defaults to a credit card I know longer have.

12. DiVX

13. On screen warning for low-battery on controller. Sometimes I don't notice the flashing lights.

Oh, and additonally, I'd like the 'Xbox Guide' response time to be a bit quicker. Very slow reaction after hitting the middle button.

I always wanted easier control of music playing in the background. A system where you hold the Guide Button and another button(lets say Start) and it would control the music somehow(let's say pause the song). It could always use the Guide+RB to go to the next song and LB to go to the previous. The triggers for volume, Back for Stop, etc.

Also, if a song is playing or paused, and you highlight the name of the song and press A it would let you go through the songs in the playlist(as oppose to having to rechoose another list completely). If you want to rechoose a list just press the stop button first.

There: Small, totally doable and useful. Let's see it happen!

The usual, familiar suspects.

Better codec support. It's a broken record at this point, and we can all understand why it's unlikely to happen so much as we want it to, but what else is wishing for, right? The ability to remove XBLA games from my gamer history. and full games from it, too, if they begin with the letter 'Y.' 16:10 support. Because as much as it works for me specifically, I really doubt the major reason for making the VGA cable was my Infocus 5000. Being able to change a friend's name in your friends list, and being able to view his regular gamer-pic instead of his friends-only one, because if I have to see this photo of my friend's weird forearm tattoo one more fucking time I'm deleting his ass. Better playlist support for streaming audio, and the ability to fast forward and rewind through your songs. Also, drop the 100-song limit for queueing, please.

AND, in an unrelated note, can we get a banhammer on Corey? he doesn't seem to get the fact that no-one repsponding to his misguided advice about recovering offline permission for your XBLA downloads means we know his suggestion DOES NOT WORK, yet he won't shut the hell up about it. it's like five posts in this thread alone. give it a rest, please.

Here's some stuff I want:
- When I switch sources on my TV (Xbox Premium) that going back to HDMI does not reset my console, it sucks not being able to jump between TV while waiting for match making.
- Audio out via regular HDMI (doesn't work for me)
- No 3rd party app needed to sync with my Mac
- Allow the right stick to be used in Pac Man Championship edition! I know that's for Pac Man but us old school Pac Man players still are wired so that the right hand is the Pac Hand.

"I know that's a *software update for* Pac Man" is what I meant.
