Ohh well, no HD content streamed directly to our living rooms via the internet. At least we still got this:

http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/black-friday-867-ToshibaHDA3HighDefinitionHDDVDPlayer.html

The Toshiba HDA3 is going on sale for $169 this black friday at sears online or ins tores.

So it may be a good week for the HD-DVD install base and possibly be a sign of a drop in xbox 360 add-on prices to come?

"Podcast?"

Yeah, it's coming. Weird complications this week. It's a doozy of a show though. Worth the wait I think.

I'm just happy to finally see a company respond what something DOES appear. The 360 Arcade was out a week before MS finally acknowledged its existence. I guess they wanted to end speculation and guessing regarding this.

One good thing to see is that even internal MS people and beta testers are getting RRODs!

@Jesse:
We get a dashboard update every November and every May. So it isn't exactly fabeled especially since this is the only big rumor that it had.

Also, we're a month and less than a week into Autumn. We've got two months until Winter comes to town. Cool down. =\

This makes a lot of sense to be honest as the Media Room service is gonna be a very chargeable, extra content. Content thats gonna come through your ISP and therefore be charged by your ISP. Personaly I'm glad its not in the fall update, its more carp I dont want on my GAMING console!!!

and to the guy who said he's never gonna play the console again beacause its not in the fall update... post else were u sad fuck!

-Go to the ‘Media’ Tab in Xbox 360.
-Select ‘Music’, ‘Pictures’, or ‘Video’.
-Select ‘Computer’ from the options menu.
-Click ‘Yes, continue’ when asked if you have downloaded and installed media sharing software on your computer.
-Select from the list the computer on which you installed Winamp Remote

My computer hasn't been repaired since last October and I have that option on my 360.

What do you think that means?

Does anyone know if and when the rest of the world will be able to use the XBLM again? I am an american working for the US Army overseas and really miss the marketplace for movie rentals. Would it be included with new fall update?? I heard they where going to include the asian region at somepoint. Thanks.

So what they're saying is that you have to buy an IPTV "Enabled" 360 from AT&T (or British Telecom) when they make it available, even though obviously the 360s have it available already.

#19 this is what I was wondering myself. I wager that the fall update WILL include IPTV but what microsoft is saying is that this feature will be basically unusable until the ISPs get their end sorted. When BT gets the Vision box in the UK working with the xbox how will it be able to update the xbox - it can't! Microsoft would have to do this over an update and why not make it the fall update when they promised IPTV before xmas!

@HyperBrandon(#17 & #20): That's what is *normally* there. The news is about something different being there.

Also, does anyone know if this will affect XBLVM which is meant to be coming to the UK/EUR this autumn? When I first heard the IPTV rumors I presumed they'd be 2 separate things but now with the info coming out over the last few days I'm wondering if it'll all be merged into one 'package'

Err, they can update the dash at any point, not just at the Spring and Fall roll outs.

I keep hoping for open-access IPTV, where I could decide who had what show I wanted to watch just in time to connect to it.

I guess that would be too much freedom for Microsoft customers to handle, so we remain slaves to Microsoft Partners...
