I hate how the Wii is turning into a dumping ground nowadays (akin to the PS2 in its later life) with some complete crap being released. I mean, look at the 360 and PS3 - maybe only "Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition", "Bee Movie" and "Cars - Mater National" could be considered crap, but at least they're mildly expected, being linked to movies 'n shizz. Even then, I played the Bee Movie demo from XBL and it's mint! (sarcasm) But anyway:

# Barbie Island Princess
# Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey
# High School Musical: Sing It!
# Ben 10: Protector of Earth
# Generic fishing game

Just utter toss.

Although I haven't played the latest iterations, I don't think Chessmaster is in any way close to being crap.

They've pretty much ruined Guitar Hero 3. Having played music games for going on 5 years now, it's really not very hard for me to pick out when notes aren't actually going with the correct pitch (not to mention I've made enough files for various projects). It's infuriating. The vast influx of triples in the game doesn't even make any sense and it all just feels like they're throwing them in to make it harder, when that really shouldn't be the point of Guitar Hero and especially when they widened the timing to the point of ridiculousness (though Precision Mode helps).

Also, the PS3 version appears to have some major problem with the guitars dropping notes at random. It's all over ScoreHero (which Neversoft looks at very often and posts on) but so far, no statement from anyone. How something like that gets out of testing, I'll never know.

As for games this week, I'll probably pick up KoFXI if it's actually being released (it's been pushed back way too much) and get Virtua Fighter 5 closer to Christmas after Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect have taken all of my time.
