You'd think a company based out of Boston would know that the Pixies' "Wave of Mutilation" is from the '80's.

They have it correct on the site, so it's probably just a typo in the press release...

Ah, I haven't played 80's Edition. But I enjoy the song a lot so I'm going to keep an open mind. Plus it will be more than just guitar, so maybe it will be better this time around.

You can buy the game for $60. Use the GH2 Xplorer or the GH3 Les Paul for guitar and bass. Get a $20 USB mic, or use your console headset to sing.

If you want to play drums, or need additional guitars, yep, that costs more.

The other tracks are pretty sweet too (except FoB)

I also can't believe there's a New Pornographers track in there.

I have to say, this setlist whoops GH3's ass. That's not to say GH3 has a bad setlist, I'm loving the hell out of it right now. But this one just walks all over it in my opinion. It's interesting to see the overlap between the two: Mississippi Queen, Cherub Rock, Sabotage, and When You Were Young are the ones that I can see without looking up the GH3 list.
Also, if I may say, and I know I'm gonna take crap for this, but Foreplay is gonna be fun as hell on drums.

I disagree! I wish I could play "Wave of Mutilation," "Don't Fear the Reaper," and "Sufragette City" on my GH3, but I think GH3 is better as a whole!

What I still don't understand is why they have Rush, but it's a freaking cover. I mean, the band is still touring, they are pretty popular, so why couldn't they just have them come in and record a master track? I'm not sure how hard it would be, but it would be worth it in my opinion.

I'm actually pretty happy that The Killers song got into Rock Band as well because I love that tune. Would love to see some Power Metal in some of these games though like Dragonforce in GH3. New guitar, drumkit, mic and game for $159 bucks for the PS2 version sounds good to me, I can use my GH2 controller for bass.

Of salesmen!

Yeah I could see Matt doing it. What a freakin bummer though. With everything Harmonix has going for them, you'd think they could have landed more master recordings than this. There's a few other covers that I'm not crazy about, but this one more than any other kills me. I'll still buy it, but now I'll be doing it begrudgingly instead of enthusiastically.

F-F-F-Fall out boy!?! C'mon Harmonix, you could've chosen a better band than that one. =/

I can predict this song will be the "Yes we can" of Rock Band, unless it doesn't suck. If it does, it'll get that title.

Kick-ass playlist, but DAMN, I wanted Joker & the Thief by Wolfmother.
Honestly, even if it's DLC, Rock Band will be a must-buy for me (in March, EU inside. And thank God for that, I wouldn't have the budget for November).
