I'm betting any voice work as Krystal will be akin to Peppy and Slippy being in Melee, which is to say we'll get to hear the Star Fox team's banter at some point during the Subspace Emissary. That's my guess.

If she's playable, she'll probably be a Fox clone that uses a staff instead of the high-speed moves.

I fail to see how her using her staff would equal a Fox clone but...

Know who they really need to add? Leon the Chameleon from Star Wolf. He was my favorite character in 64 if only for his smarmy-ass voice.

I agree. I think she will be playable- with the staff.

My guess would be playable, non-clone

Sakurai expressed his disdain for all the clones in Melee, and his intention to not repeat it. The only clones i see getting in this one are Luigi (he was in the original, and he is iconic) and Ganondorf (he was different enough from C.Falcon, because he played so differently, even with the same moves)

Yeah I read what Sakurai said about getting rid of clones. My guess is that Krystal will replace Falco. Any other possible character from the Star Fox universe would end up being a Fox clone. They all do their fighting in Arwings. And it seems like one of Fox's alternate costumes makes him look like Star Wolf. My only hope for Fox is that one of his costumes gives him shades so he can be James McCloud.

I think Ganondorf will become less of a Captain Falcon clone and maybe more of a swordfighter in the Twilight Princess style, with maybe even a Ganon-morphing final smash.

Luigi absolutely has to be in the game too. I think he'll be more different than Mario now. Since Sakurai hooked Mario up with FLUDD from Sunshine, I'm hoping he hooks Luigi up with some Polutergust action from the Mansion. HOLLA!

Don't see the big deal. Don't see why anyone doubted Krystal having representation in Brawl when the Devil from Devil World is getting an assist trophy. Talk about obscure. There were tons of pokemon in the past few games and now there'll be a ton of assists.

I disagree with everyone who said that Star Fox Adventures sucks. Have any of you played the game at all? someone commented that the game was longer then it needed to be. Uh what? the game was way too short. Someone else commented that it was terrible even though he never played it. Again, uh what? honestly people if you've played the game then you know its one of the best Action Adventure games on the Gamecube console. I actually liked Star Fox Adventures more then Star Fox 64(The action adventure part, I wish SFA had the same stuff SF64 had)

Afterwards I was saddened to find out that the next game(Assualt) wouldn't be like SFA. Anyone else think they need to make a 2nd SFA?

Also I like the idea of having her in the game. If anyones played SFA then they know how she has magical powers(ok so Fox does but she practically teaches you them)

*NOTE* SFA reminds me of Megaman Legends, its completely different from the series so a lot of fans disliked it because it was different. Which reminds me of Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine.

I loved Star Fox Adventures. It was a great platformer. Even if it wasn't the best star-fox themed game, it was a great platformer- and that is what counts!

I actually like ALL of the Star Fox games. 5 exist- and I like them all- and Star Fox Adventures is very unique- but it is a Rare platformer- how could it be bad?! (it can't!)

I liked Star Fox Adventures too. It showed great promise to expand the universe outside of mere rail shooting segments. If you inject the gameplay with a bit of Star Wars, Wing Commander, Star Fox, Max Payne, Zelda, Metal Gear, and Halo, I think the series could get more fleshed out more.

I also don't see why some people hate Krystal. For me she's like a great counterpart for Fox. She's like the mystical opposite to Fox's sci-fi. She uses "magic" while Fox uses a laser blaster. She rides flying reptiles, he rides space fighters. If they put here in SSBB as a playable character, I hope it is here Adventures model with here staff. Assault's model is fine but I fear they'll strap her with some blasters. Incidentally, I don't like here Command design so I'm kinda afraid they'll use that since the current Fox model in SSBB appears to come from that game.

The game was amazing for me, at least until the ending. I was really disappointed that I couldn't leave the final area and go back to the previous ones ;_;

But yeah, there are a lot of idiots here joining the "burn all furries" bandwagon and that's not needed at all. I don't think Krystal would be a bad addition at all. She's been in at least three of the most recent Star Fox games.

I don't remember anyone complaining about Fox or Falco, but if they did I'm glad I didn't have internet at the time.

To give proper credits where they're due, someone opened up a thread about this on smashboards.com weeks ago. That and the ganondorf thing. The IMDB list is unreliable though.

I say, the more playable characters, the better! It means more gameplay for me. If you don't like a character, then don't play that character. And if you hate a character because she's "furry", then grow up!

Actually, that's not quite true.

1) There's far more porn of current Sonic characters (read: Cream and Rouge) than archie only characters. (even if Archie later incorporated these characters too.
2) Ironically, Sarah, the love interest of Sonic, actually gets less time than other presumely more interesting characters, like Rabbot. (having a half-robot body just screams for attachments)

The main reason for such is that compared to the main series, the archie series is too obscure. (frankly though, the archie series would make for a better game than the game series, with it's more coherent and detailed storylines)

I hope she is in the game. It would be pretty cool. Plus I hope Falco makes a return too. Plus she may not be every ones Favorite person in the Star Fox games but Nintendo has been trying to bring her more in to the Star Fox world and having her in SSB might be a good way to get people more into her.

Hmm... Star Fox characters... if they wanted to go awesome, they'd go with the members of Star Wolf. Especially Leon, the chamelion, who had the best taunt I've ever heard in a game - "You're good... but I'm better!" And with perfect delivery, too.

But noooo, they just had to play to the fetishes. Damn it... I feel the need to Nair SBB Brawl now.

Is it repentance for the disfiguring of Dinosaur Planet? No, unfortunately.

Is it to give fapping to the furries? No...at least I don't think so... (And why do people get so worked up over furries? Just ignore them and they won't bother you. Go freak out over the pedophiles. They're the scary ones.)

People commenting negatively in this article towards furries are only doing so because they're hot for Krystal but too disturbed to admit it, so they instead turn it into hate =/ Way to step up to the plate, guys.

Now, I don't find her attractive because she's just another female character, and I'm not into anthro(read: I don't like furries) but I like her because she's a cool character that added a new perspective to the Star Fox series. If you're going to hate on her then you mind as well hate on every other non-human character(and obviously the humans that don't even look human) in Brawl. And half of the games in the Nintendo library. Seriously.

So feel free to stir up a shitstorm as you always do, fanboys. Just remember that everytime you sleep at night, YOU are not the one that decides which characters are included in this all-star game; it's Masahiro Sakurai :D

No, it's not that we hate Krystal. It's that we hate the kind of people Krystal will bring into the game.

You know, the people who are going to start a 2 player match with themselves just so they can 'use the pause feature to its fullest'.

And why do you all assume that Krystal will bring furries into the game when they might have already BEEN playing Smash? Who the hell cares what they're going to do with their time? Should they be caring about YOU?

[sarcasm]OH HEY LET'S POLICE OTHER PEOPLE'S SEXUALITY[/sarcasm]

Seriously, there's a greater chance, if not more predictible, that more 14 year-old boys will be pausing Brawl with themselves for Zero Suit Samus. Or even another female character.

Speak for yourselves, Joystiq. SFAdv's a fun and gorgeous game, in spite of the last-minute changes Nintendo mandated. But to stay on topic, Krystal's a pretty good character, or at least was before being relegated to standard damsel-in-distress role, then a bitchy gf. It'd be cool to see her in Brawl, especially if they bring back her staff. And her original butt-kicking personality.

To those who keep wringing their hands and whining about how SF64 was the only good SF title and how one character ruined the series, the blame belongs to Nintendo for forcing a such a hackjob on Dino Planet. Point the finger at your god Miyamoto for screwing that one up, not some fictional character of all silly things. They're all decent games, just not the eternal SNES SF remakes that small but loud contingency seem to want from now on.
