actually, EA has seemed less corporate lately. It makes me not worry quie so much about the Bioware buyout

Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

I never had any problems with EA, I mean, they did give me Burnout 3: Takedown, which was a pretty decent game in which I did indeed take down other racers very often.

I think you guys are missing the point here. It's not that EA are good guys now, and aren't charging us for DLC. It's just they don't want to make any DLC for this game. If they had changed they would make DLC for this game and it'd be free.

The bottom line is they don't want to spend the time to create DLC, and instead of just saying that they try to sound like the nice guys and say, "Oh we aren't making it because we don't want to charge you guys for it."

@7 EXACTLY. FUCK THOSE DUDES. They spin everything to make it look like they are doing us a favor. It should just read "We don't care about this game enough to make anything else for it..wait for Skate 2 where you'll get the same game, with a few additions..you know like the shoes and extra shirt for $59.99".

It just means that next year we are going to see "Skate 2008" . Instead of charging us $10 more for DLC, they'll charge us $60 more for a whole new game.

@7,8,9 My thoughts exactly. You don't get props for NOT making DLC and then NOT charging for it. Wait, maybe you do . . . FYI everyone, I just decided that I WON'T make a machine that sucks all the air into a giant bag and then charge people to breathe. Someone should dedicate a website to how nice I am being :)

@djdatz...yes...indeed =)

by the way, we had a bit of a discussion going a few days ago about buying MS points from a US seller - this won't work because MS point cards are region locked. (damn you M$!!!)

What about adding new skate parks or stuff like that that actually ADDS to the gameplay experience? Oh well. =/
