Readers pick best webcomic: baked goods

People's love for Portal and Mario knows no boundaries, and VG Cats' amalgam of the ideas earned top honors as the week's best game webcomic. Second place went to our personal favorite of the week, Dueling Analogs, while third place was claimed by Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Naked Peach is fantastic.

...although Naked Daisy ain't no slouch, either.

Naked Zelda and Naked Samus are awfully appetizing too.

Oh please God samfish, don't remind me of that disturbing Cream picture I saw on one of my random strolls in 4chan. It gives me nightmares just to think of it.

And, although DA was awesome this week, the alternate ending of the VGcats comic made me laugh more, so that's why I picked it. Scott deserves a well-served cake for making an awesome comic this week.

If a pic of Naked Cream is enough to give you nightmares, you probably shouldn't be visiting 4chan.

Yep. Although I go there occasionally just to see what memes they make sometimes. Thankfully, I didn't see anything disturbing when the "OM NOM NOM" meme was there.

DA also has porn, but not as bad as 4chan's. And don't get me started about the religious 2-hour speech my mom told me when I accidentally clicked on a normal picture over there and porn popped up when she was in my room. It was funny while it lasted though.

i love vgcats depiction of mario. hes so dirty looking lol.

Its a Resident Evil 4 party and he's dressed as Freddy Kruger. I understand the premise. I just don't thing it constitutes as a joke.

Some gelatin thing showed up to a Resident Evil costume party dressed up as Freddy Kruger.

Hilarity failed to ensue.

At the sake of getting raked over the coals, I will admit to writing that comic. Although, it wasn't really a comic, but more like an Halloween idea that I asked a guest artist to whip up in a short period of time.

I may be new to the whole writing schtick, but I've come to understand that you can't make everyone laugh all the time. My primary focus right now is to write in such a way that people "get" the joke. If they get it, but don't laugh, that's fine with me. But if they don't get it at all, I feel like I've failed.

Am I making any sense at all?

Agree with Joystiq. Not only was Dueling Analogs better than VG Cats, but it was one of the best comics in weeks.

I voted for RPG TV, but I did not scroll down to see the Portal thing in VG Cats, or I would have voted for it.

I've been following a gaming-related webcomic called Pixelated Pupils. It went down for a little while, but now it's back in force. They just announced that they will update twice a week, and they usually come out with wallpapers, (1 Free, and 2 Donation) on occasion.
