For the record, they aren't punishing people who are Gamertag Sharing, but they won't help people who solicited someone online to unlock an achievment by recovering their profile and that person runs up the balance on their credit card by downloading arcade games onto the console.

Perfect day for this to come out.

Last night my little brother came over to game it up and we got stuck in a room on bomberman with two achievment whores. The time was set to an hour on zombie so they could get their achivments up. Then, after we started roasting them they booked 'er out of the room.

As for the gamer tag sharing...I was sharing my boyfriends for a loong time because there was no game worth paying 60 bucks to play online under my own name. ...Then Halo came out. Needless to say now I'm pissed because I beat Oblivion for him and I'm stuck with no points. Our roommate also shares which ever is logged on when he wants to play Golf and Fight Night. Sharing a gamer tag isnt a bad thing, until you turn into a point whore.

I really don't understand why you'd do that though. I like achievements, their fun to get and Halo 3's are even better as you unlock armour with most of them, but giving your gamertag to someone? crazy.

Why would they download arcade games with them? very strange, do they get something from that? can they use them if their not on their profile?

What is this game save thing? Congrats on the halo 1000 gamerscore! !!!! I got my last one on Saturday and it feels good... so good. Well, until they release the extra 250 and I have to spend my time obsessing over those!

@3 if they download the Arcade games onto their console they will be locked to their Xbox 360 and available to their own profile on their Xbox.

I was trying to get the Two for One achievement playing Infected today, but I'm just not nearly good enough with the laser.

Any hints?

But seriously now. Good read. I am starting to like the achievement and leader boards thing. It gives you a sense of accomplishment.

I looked up your 360voice profile. At first I didn't get why you were writing about yourself like that, but then I discovered that it is your 360 that is doing the writing. That is freaking awesome.

What site was Michael Burns using to look up your achievement stats.

I stayed up until 2 AM to try and get my 2-for-1 achievement in the zombie matches. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. On the bright side I did unlock Steppin' Razor and Overkill, and I was able to gain enough EXP to get my officer ranking. I came close to a 2-for-1. So close....

Gamesaving is cheating, exploiting a glitch or using some third party hardware to modify saves on your console, account sharing is not.

Every gamer at some point has had a friend help them through a difficult point in a game, why is it any different to give someone you trust your account to beat a game on a certain difficulty? Unlock a hidden character? Beat a time on a specific track?

Is it any different to having a co-op partner to complete Gears on Insane for you, because you cant complete it solo? Or have a house-mate use your profile while you are at work? Its not all about having a high 'score' for some people, it more having a game completed in their list. Some people can have their games hidden from view through the privacy settings suggesting they have something to hide... if this is allowed, what is wrong with having a friend help, or a common profile for the home?
