She: a position where not only is t a fairly public position in a hugely succesful company promoting family fun making prolly over 6 figures a year.

You: sad internet geek picking on the style choices of someone who is doing more with her degree than ripping other people apart for whatever they may look like. Its not only sad and pathetic that you would comment on something like that, but with all this time spent picking on someone who will be working with people and project you only read about, who's left managing the barnes and noble?

I'm sure Cammie is more than qualified, but this has got to be one of the biggest "can't lose" jobs in history. She's joining Nintendo just after the Wii has begun ramping up which will no doubt result in more content being developed on the platform. If she steps down before 2011, she can pretty much go wherever she wants citing the Wii's success.

"...start directing the company's $80+ million annual marketing budget..."

Really? What on earth do they spend it on?

Maybe she can get out of the gate well and buy some Metroid and Battalion Wars commercial time.

Seriously... I haven't seen commercials for any Wii games since the system literally came out. What are they thinking? Of course Metroid isn't gonna sell a million units if no one even knows it even exists (supposedly they did a "word-of-mouth" campaign... so why did I never hear about it? I would be their primary target). Oh, and don't even get me started on Mario Galaxy. It comes out in a little over a week, but most parents have no idea. Most parents probably know more about Manhunt 2, of all things, than they will ever know about Mario Galaxy. I mean, comeon... Mario is supposed to be Nintendo's trump card. Put some advertising into it!

I don't know, i've seen the commercials myself, the Metroid ones, the original Wii ads, the Strikers Charged ads, the Super Paper Mario ads

Now, Nintendo isn't doing a good job advertising their more obscure sets, that's definitely true. Battallion Wars Who?

Please get some awesome ads for upcoming games for the Wii.

Bring back the real life costumes for a Brawl commercial like the old N64 Smash! :P

Nintendo really should advertise more though.. I only saw the Metroid Prime 3 commercial on TV once.

To me she looks like a more grown-up Merryl(MetalGear). You know, if Merryl wasn't a video game character.

Its the hair me thinks.

I agree with Paul. But she needs to get Nintendo to make some better commercials for the Wii cause Sony has found away to make their piece of crap look worthy of a purchase.

Hey Mrs. Marketing Chief lady, I hopes you know you're greatest asset this generation is your greatest weakness. Sure catering to the casual market will increase console sales but it will hinder software sales and the game sold to console sold rate which may turn off developers and keep them from taking to many risks. Just thought I'd chime in, k thx bye.

The Wii already has more million-sellers than the original Xbox, so its not exactly failing in software sales, and the original Xbox wasn't lacking in good exclusives, either

Apparently, yes. Very, very sad...and boring.
