Questionable Soulcalibur Legends for Wii goes gold
When we first took remote in hand to try out Soulcalibur Legends for the Wii at E3, the whole incident compelled us to throw away our clothes and take a shower while trying to wash ourselves clean of the experience altogether. But the filth would not come off. Granted, this was of an early build, but given the state of things, our hopes for the fighter-made-action game were left irrecoverably gutted.
Now, however, Namco Bandai sends word that the game has gone gold, and while we have trouble caring, Wii owners on the lookout for something original (regardless of quality) can look forward to getting dirty themselves November 20. Just don't say we didn't warn you.

I hate fucking shovelware and quick cash games.
Its notghing proffesioanl to do that. Hope this game flops so bad and hope this game receives a 4/10

I beat Focker! Ha-ha!
DemonGSides @ Nov 1st 2007 6:47PM
You are a waste of carbon.
Congrats/
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 6:52PM
Your mother must be so proud.
Jouten @ Nov 1st 2007 6:56PM
I was demonstrating how stupid it was in a sarcastic way to Focker. Since he's usually the one that does that heheh. But thanks for the compliments you guys! (Hint: More sarcasm)
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 7:00PM
No, that's not sarcasm. That's being an ass and claiming sarcasm. Sarcasm anyone can detect, it's blatantly obvious. When you have to explain that you were being sarcastic, then you've clearly failed.
Jouten @ Nov 1st 2007 7:06PM
Whatever, you obviously never seen Focker's posting behavior or you would have known better.
Try your 'anti-trolling' trolling tactics again later...
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 7:21PM
ARE YOU SERIOUSLY IMPLYING THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO INFER THAT YOU ARE PARODYING NOTHING MORE THAN FERNANDO WITH THE WORDS "FIRST POST"?
That's like saying whenever I see a bullet, the first words that should come to mind are "Halo 3".
Jouten @ Nov 1st 2007 7:53PM
"That's like saying whenever I see a bullet, the first words that should come to mind are "Halo 3"."
It doesn't? "DAMN!!" - Ron Simmons (aka Farooq)
Rubang B (BRUSH WITH FAME) @ Nov 1st 2007 9:05PM
Hey Jouten eat a walrus dick you bitch :sarcasm: lol!
JanJan @ Nov 1st 2007 6:25PM
that picture doesn't give those boobs justice
Geist @ Nov 1st 2007 10:24PM
Frankly, after seeing the size of her breasts from Soul Calibur 4, nothing will ever do them justice.
JanJan @ Nov 1st 2007 6:38PM

Congratulations! You get a cookie!
A cookie made of AIDS.
ShortFuse @ Nov 1st 2007 6:43PM
Actually, Jason, Namco said they changed the controls for the game. Then again, that's what was said about Lair.
gonk @ Nov 1st 2007 6:44PM
the cookie is a lie
Undead Priest @ Nov 1st 2007 6:45PM
Someday some company should just publish the inevitable: "Jubblies: The Game". Preferably for Wii for added interactivity. Maybe for PS3 and 360 for 'enhanced' jiggle physics.
Blast Processing Megadrive @ Nov 1st 2007 6:57PM
Fund it!
ThornedVenom @ Nov 1st 2007 9:51PM
Dead or Alive?
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 6:54PM
No. The cookie is the truth.
Joshua @ Nov 1st 2007 7:00PM
MAN! I never read your original impressions, but it's really THAT bad? Insane...
Just two questions:
1) Who's the developer?
2) Is this the first bad Soul game?
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 7:08PM
1. Probably Namco. It doesn't really matter, because Namco-Bandai will push just about ANYTHING out the door with a seal of approval.
2. If it's any help, the game has been described as a "total disaster".
Mr Khan @ Nov 1st 2007 7:08PM
No, the developer is still Project Soul
But then again, didn't Miyamato make Quest 64? And Sonic Team made every game it made after Sonic Adventure 2 and/or PSO GC/Xbox
Joshua @ Nov 1st 2007 7:21PM
"But then again, didn't Miyamato make Quest 64?"
No, but I see your point.
Mr Khan @ Nov 1st 2007 7:59PM
Then who did?
Blast Processing Megadrive @ Nov 1st 2007 9:19PM
Imagineer is the developer of Quest 64. THQ published it in the US, Konami in Europe, and Imagineer published it themselves in Japan.
Jouten @ Nov 1st 2007 7:02PM
"I'll buy that for a dollar!" - Bixby Snyder

Jouten, I know where you live and who your friends are. I know you leave your house everyday around 11:30am. I know you are allergic to peanuts and would be very upset if anything were to happen to your little sister Debbie. I acquired a duplicate key to your house because a friend of mine works at the hardware store where your dad had the key copied. I'm going to murder you. ::sarcasm::
It's ok everyone, I was being sarcastic.
hvnlysoldr @ Nov 1st 2007 11:24PM
Ahh classic RoboCop. I heard it was suppose to be in Smash TV.
Platy @ Nov 1st 2007 7:07PM
i don't know ... it is a 3d version of streets of rage/final fight ... including coop
i don't see how this can be bad game... i mean .. it even has that loyd dude from tales of symphonia =D
....but yeah ... comparing to other games like zack & wiki and specialy mario galaxy (who ships closer) it will probably be VERY crap xD
Mr Khan @ Nov 1st 2007 7:11PM
This ratio will determine the games awesomeness (or lack thereof)
Beat 'em up elements:Adventure Elements
The greater the former, the more awesome, the greater the latter, the less, as the beat 'em up parts look pretty fluid, but the adventure parts just look trite
1up_clock @ Nov 1st 2007 7:37PM
Button-mashing = Good
Actual gameplay that requires thinking = Bad
And you people wonder why Mario Party still sells.
Mr Khan @ Nov 1st 2007 8:00PM
But that's based upon what i've seen, those "button-mashing" sequences look awesome, but the actual adventure parts look like nothing special at all
ZippyDSMlee @ Nov 2nd 2007 6:11AM
I dunno if the fighting is fluid the adventure bits can be fun, think of it as a action adventure brawler, however in todays world they will bastardize it with some trite combo leavign the game rank and pooy.
And I bet it scores 6-8 just because of the name >
Lemmiwinks @ Nov 1st 2007 7:32PM
yeah, no.
Shockgamer @ Nov 1st 2007 8:02PM
Sent to die.
Jimiisama @ Nov 1st 2007 10:14PM
Soul Calibur is bad enough.. whyyyy whyyyy? 3D adventure mod should be nothing but a minigame.
Geist @ Nov 1st 2007 10:26PM
Why make it a minigame when you can make it a full-priced game for uninformed dummies to buy?
Adv2k1 @ Nov 1st 2007 11:33PM
Fuck you Namco. I bought Soul Calibur 2 on release date for my GAMECUBE because of Link. I expected SC3 to come to cube as well, NOPE even though it got best sales ps2 got SC3.
Bullshit.
I don't care about this shitty game, fuck off Namco. Yout got to prove that your worthy of my money and this proves you are a greedy son of a bitch who doesn't give a damn about consumers. Fuck you Namco!
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Nov 2nd 2007 10:54AM
It only got the best sales in the launch window. Over the life of the game, SC2 sold many more copies on PS2.
Yourself @ Nov 1st 2007 11:41PM
I'm definitely taking this post with a grain of salt. I was shocked when I read Joystiq's initial impressions of this game, and if you look at the other previews (on IGN and 1UP), they are decidedly more positive. Actually, they're about 1000x more positive. Whatever blogger wrote Joystiq's hands-on just must've had a sandy vagina that day.
Dio @ Nov 2nd 2007 1:01AM
Am I the only one thinking that augmenting Ivy's breasts was a mistake?
Clack @ Nov 2nd 2007 1:28AM
Augmented breasts are never a mistake.
ronald.raygun @ Nov 2nd 2007 2:07AM
there's two ways to augment clack
psyborg @ Nov 2nd 2007 2:00AM
I loved the idea of an action/adventure styled Soul Caliber but this game looks and sounds shitty. Reviews will have to be glowing for me to even consider renting, lol.
ZippyDSMlee @ Nov 2nd 2007 6:11AM
Worse yet reviewers will love it and give it 6+
Poisoned Al @ Nov 2nd 2007 6:23AM
Well that's pretty bad. They only give truly bad games anything less then %70 so they don't lose their advertising, cock-gobbling whores that they are.
bm @ Nov 2nd 2007 3:14AM
I'm just pissed that this didn't turn out to be the Soul Calibur RPG I was hoping for.
Seriously, this series would make an awesome RPG. All these recognizable characters with different abilities and loads of different equipment, fantastic music and visual design, and a world and storyline that could be totally great if developed upon a bit more. Who's with me?
