When we first took remote in hand to try out Soulcalibur Legends for the Wii at E3, the whole incident compelled us to throw away our clothes and take a shower while trying to wash ourselves clean of the experience altogether. But the filth would not come off. Granted, this was of an early build, but given the state of things, our hopes for the fighter-made-action game were left irrecoverably gutted.
Now, however, Namco Bandai sends word that the game has gone gold, and while we have trouble caring, Wii owners on the lookout for something original (regardless of quality) can look forward to getting dirty themselves November 20. Just don't say we didn't warn you.

I was demonstrating how stupid it was in a sarcastic way to Focker. Since he's usually the one that does that heheh. But thanks for the compliments you guys! (Hint: More sarcasm)

No, that's not sarcasm. That's being an ass and claiming sarcasm. Sarcasm anyone can detect, it's blatantly obvious. When you have to explain that you were being sarcastic, then you've clearly failed.

Whatever, you obviously never seen Focker's posting behavior or you would have known better.
Try your 'anti-trolling' trolling tactics again later...

ARE YOU SERIOUSLY IMPLYING THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO INFER THAT YOU ARE PARODYING NOTHING MORE THAN FERNANDO WITH THE WORDS "FIRST POST"?
That's like saying whenever I see a bullet, the first words that should come to mind are "Halo 3".

Actually, Jason, Namco said they changed the controls for the game. Then again, that's what was said about Lair.

Someday some company should just publish the inevitable: "Jubblies: The Game". Preferably for Wii for added interactivity. Maybe for PS3 and 360 for 'enhanced' jiggle physics.

MAN! I never read your original impressions, but it's really THAT bad? Insane...
Just two questions:
1) Who's the developer?
2) Is this the first bad Soul game?

1. Probably Namco. It doesn't really matter, because Namco-Bandai will push just about ANYTHING out the door with a seal of approval.
2. If it's any help, the game has been described as a "total disaster".

No, but I see your point.

Imagineer is the developer of Quest 64. THQ published it in the US, Konami in Europe, and Imagineer published it themselves in Japan.

Jouten, I know where you live and who your friends are. I know you leave your house everyday around 11:30am. I know you are allergic to peanuts and would be very upset if anything were to happen to your little sister Debbie. I acquired a duplicate key to your house because a friend of mine works at the hardware store where your dad had the key copied. I'm going to murder you. ::sarcasm::
It's ok everyone, I was being sarcastic.

This ratio will determine the games awesomeness (or lack thereof)
Beat 'em up elements:Adventure Elements
The greater the former, the more awesome, the greater the latter, the less, as the beat 'em up parts look pretty fluid, but the adventure parts just look trite

Button-mashing = Good
Actual gameplay that requires thinking = Bad
And you people wonder why Mario Party still sells.

I dunno if the fighting is fluid the adventure bits can be fun, think of it as a action adventure brawler, however in todays world they will bastardize it with some trite combo leavign the game rank and pooy.
And I bet it scores 6-8 just because of the name >

Fuck you Namco. I bought Soul Calibur 2 on release date for my GAMECUBE because of Link. I expected SC3 to come to cube as well, NOPE even though it got best sales ps2 got SC3.
Bullshit.
I don't care about this shitty game, fuck off Namco. Yout got to prove that your worthy of my money and this proves you are a greedy son of a bitch who doesn't give a damn about consumers. Fuck you Namco!

I'm definitely taking this post with a grain of salt. I was shocked when I read Joystiq's initial impressions of this game, and if you look at the other previews (on IGN and 1UP), they are decidedly more positive. Actually, they're about 1000x more positive. Whatever blogger wrote Joystiq's hands-on just must've had a sandy vagina that day.

I loved the idea of an action/adventure styled Soul Caliber but this game looks and sounds shitty. Reviews will have to be glowing for me to even consider renting, lol.

Well that's pretty bad. They only give truly bad games anything less then %70 so they don't lose their advertising, cock-gobbling whores that they are.

I'm just pissed that this didn't turn out to be the Soul Calibur RPG I was hoping for.
Seriously, this series would make an awesome RPG. All these recognizable characters with different abilities and loads of different equipment, fantastic music and visual design, and a world and storyline that could be totally great if developed upon a bit more. Who's with me?
