But.... I want the soundtrack to Tron to suddenly play... in like... 90% of the games I play. Well except maybe Devil May Cry, that I just think some Rob Zombie music will suffice.

Fricking genius. This is what SM64 needed to make it the most replayed-game ever. I think that title will easily go to SMG with this bonus.

this is pure win.

Does it mention anywhere if it keeps track of stars Luigi collects?

Nice. Too bad it's not for the 2nd player to use.
Still great news though.

So in other words Luigi will differ from Mario control wise, the same way as in Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan).

Fuck yes

That means there won't be bogus "How to unlock Luigi in Super Mario ______" cheats flooding the net

I remember when i was young and gullible and tried one for Super Mario 64....

This is great news for sure, but I would not call the inclusion of Luigi as a playable character a "spoiler".
This news sounds more a "feature" of the game, something that should print on the back of game case: "Collect all 120 stars and unlock Luigi as a playable character".
Those are my two cents.

This is like fan service. It will be difficult to do...but so awesome. by the way, I wonder if this is any indication that nintendo still likes Luigi enough to include him as a playable character in brawl. I mean they almost undoubtadly will...but I'm a little worried about that.

Nonetheless this is an amazing bonus!

This is cool, don't get me wrong. But it still seems kind of pointless. After I beat the entire game and do pretty much everything, I unlock Luigi. Sure, it will be great if I want to replay it. But a fat lot of good it'll do me earlier. Still, it's cool that he's included. I just wish you had the option to use him earlier.

Mario is only controllable in the first chapter. The rest of the game stars a rookie named "Raiden."

"Peach, did you say 'nerd'?"

Stupid ass Raiden.

So who is trapped in the dungeon on the Boo level when you're playing as Luigi?

Welcome to every Nintendo unlockable ever. Yes it sucks in that respect, but it doesn't stop us doing it for some reason.

One day, maybe they'll do unlockables in the first 3rd of their games instead of at the end.
