Of course, the same could be said of us for subjecting you to this Cruis'n trailer, which we'd sooner guess was an animated menu screen on the 2 Fast, 2 Furious DVD than an actual video game. So, can the final product be as bad as this trailer makes it appear? Well, scientifically, no. But we'll keep our fingers crossed.
Cruis'n (ironically) looks like a train wreck

Wasnt this an arcade game released about a decade back? I remember playing something that looked exactly like this at a movie theater while waiting for toystory.

This hurts my heart. Do my eyes deceive me, or is this sub-PS2 level stuff? I love my Wii, but garbage like this is exactly what's wrong with the system. What a waste.

Seriously, if this doesn't produce more Wii haters, it will at least cement Midway's image as a company beyond all hope

Dreamcast had way better graphics. If you used the VGA adapter you could hook up to a monitor in HD resolutions. On the Wii you just get a blurry 480P.
Think about it. Dreamcast was at least as good as PS2 (probably better) and this Crus'n game is barely passable as a PS2 game. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to put that together.

One of the sites said it looked like a Dreamcast game and I really take offense to that. My Dreamcast has better graphics then this crap. The graphics actually look worse than the N64. Crusin' on the 64 looked like the arcade and this looks like an old 3DO game.

Because if the game ends up sucking, they can blame the Wii's new controls and lesser graphics.
But.... if the game is good, they can say graphics don't matter and the Wii's controls are nice and innovative.

@Fox318, Considering this game is coming out within 10 days of Super Mario Galaxy, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Puzzle Quest, the new Geometry Wars, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Trauma Center: New Blood, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Link's Crossbow Training, Ghost Squad, and Soulcalibur Legends, (and a bunch of crap)... I don't even think it will turn a profit. And I was only naming the games I'd actually pay for before paying for this pile of filth.
I bet more people download Mario Kart 64 for $10 than pay for this crap.

Every time I tell someone that the Crusin' series of games were always crap, I get some smartass whining that the games looked awful but they were a TON of fun to play.
No, they were all just crap.

Have Mercy! It was 1996!! Mario Kart wouldn't be out for months! San Francisco Rush wouldn't be out until a year later!
If you wanted a racing game for Christmas, you either had Cruisin or Wave Race..

It was really fun while it lasted, but the series hasn't really had any legs. I enjoyed both that year, but Wave Race was by far the superior racer! I even downloaded it for my Wii, but wouldn't do the same for Cruisin'. I think I might still have both cartridges hidden away in my storage unit.

I hate the Wii, but Garbage like that is not its fault. There's more than enough power to pump out decent looking games-- look at RE4 on the Gamecube! We should be getting at least 1.5x that quality!

this trailer made me realize two things:
1 - the Cruis'n series always was and always will be terrible
and
2 - I REALLY want a new San Francisco RUSH 2049.

I was getting irritated with everyone bashing the cruis'n series until I read this comment and remembered that the San Francisco Rush games were the games I was thinking of... Stunt mode in one and then battle mode in 2049 were huge hits in the house I lived in when I went to college.

I totally agree. I was thinking that it looked like they just emulated the Rush 2049 engine. Where are the stunt wings? I loved Rush, Blitz, Gauntlet Legends, and Hydrothunder back in the day. Too bad Midway thinks they can still get away with crapsicle 3D graphics and sprites for environment objects (wtf?).
