Perhaps that's what bananas look like on YOUR homeworld.

Totally a taco. The back end has to be curved to be a banana.

)) = banana

|) = taco (the ship)

A copy of Starcraft? You, sir, are retarded. It is NOTHING like Starcraft, but don't let the fact that you obviously have no clue what you're talking about stop you from making that kind of generalization.

Man, you couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Homeworld is SO, so much better than Starcraft. But so, so much harder.

This one (at least the story mode) is more story than RTS, most of the time. I don't like RTSs either but I played through this.

Sweet, Homeworld 2 is second only to a little known game called Nexus in the 3D space strategy genera.

Which is the unofficial sequel to the Imperium Glactaca series. It was made by the IG team, but the name was changed as the rights to the name IG belonged to the original publisher of the series still.

Not every computer game series has a song written by Yes (even if it was minus Rick Wakeman at the time) for them.

"Home is our world"

See what the did there?

Indeed. Yes is win. Although you really should check out the rest of the album The Ladder (which has Homeworld on it), there's a few gems in there... the guy in place of Wakeman holds his own. And he does a rip-roaring version of Awaken.

The game is fine, too.

No, the Homeworld series is better then Starcraft. Starcraft is fun but a complete rip of Warhammer 40K. And while Homeworld takes a page from the tale of Exodus, at least it doesnt use practically the same freaking character designs. You look at them space marines and you'll see what im talking about.

Starcraft II should just be renamed Starcraft 40,000: dawn of winter assault. I can't really distinguish Terrans from the Imperium anymore.

Seriously, Homeworld coming back would be the most amazing gaming event to happen in a while. While I personally believe the pinnacle of the series was Homeworld: Cataclysm (I thought H2's interface was a step back and the story was lacking), I will gladly take Homeworld in whatever form it comes in.

I only discovered Homeworld 2 when I was searching for games to play on my new laptop and I instantly wondered how I missed this game the first time around: It was absolutley everything I wanted in a space RTS. The only possible problem was that it's two races got boring compared most any otehr RTS's 3, but that didn't stop me from playingit anyless. If they make another, I'll probably be more excited for it than Starcraft 2.

Homeworld was a great pair of games and I would be totally stoked for a sequel. These comparisons to Starcraft are really silly because they are different types of RTS games completely.

Homeworld 2 is the greatest RTS I have ever played, period. It is amazingly deep, and one of the only truly 3D RTS (yes you can attack from any angle, with no "ground" in sight). Mmmm how nice you teleported into my base. Say hello to my MINEFIELD, BITCHES!!!

HW3 neds to be made!!!!

Oooh, I love Homeworld. Actually, I just love 3D space-based RTS. It doesn't even have to be good, if it's in that genre, I'll almost certainly like it. I feel there are too few. I can only think of four. And, really, the two Homeworlds are the only ones that don't suck.

Homeworld is my favorite game franchise. Very few games give me goosebumps when I play them; few games reel my in so well, and NOT A SINGLE OTHER GAME has even come close to giving me the feeling of sheer awesomeness that Homeworld does. The story is spectacular, the visuals stunning, the music absolutely beautiful. In Homeworld, I got the feeling that the engineers were working for the artists, not the other way around. To see Homeworld 3 made would please me to no end.

You sum it up exactly thebigchucky. Homeworld was a brilliant blending of story, visuals, gameplay and emotion evoking music. You easily lost yourself in the game becoming a key character yourself.

No game since has ever drawn me in like the original Homeworld. I hope THQ is able to do the series justice.

Very much looking forward to the complex 6.0 mod for homeworld 2.

It adds alot to the game.

I just love a fleet battle between 2 fleets with 7+ battle cruisers 10 or 20 destroyers, tons of fighters, missile frigates, flak frigates, and artillery and sniper frigates.

Oh and marine frigates to board a large and important capital ship.
