Tivo Alert: South Park takes on Guitar Hero Wednesday

We already knew the team behind South Park had proclivity for Guitar Hero, and this Wednesday we'll get to see that interest translated on our TV screens. According to the South Park Studios web site, this Wednesday's episode, aptly titled "Guitar Queer-o" will see Kyle jealous over Stan's superior skills at the game. Wait, someone named Kyle isn't good at Guitar Hero? This will not stand!

When South Park delves into gaming topics, the results tend to be good -- as in the Emmy-award-winning "Make Love, Not WarCraft." As for when (a hacked version of) Guitar Hero delves into South Park ... well ... judge for yourself after the break.

QFT. The more Randy Marsh we get, the better the episode. "Bloody Mary" and the one where he's getting in fights at Stan's little league games are still my favorite episodes EVER...

My favorite episode is still the pilot, when Fry and Bender get cornered by the cops and Bender literally shits a brick. Good times that was.

South Park is the only animated show on TV that's still "got it".

My favorite Futurama episode is The Sting. So emotive.

New Futurama full length movie out on dvd later this month. Its called Bender's Big Score I believe. So very excited for it

Can't wait!

I know it's going to be even funnier because I guarantee everyone will be able to make some personal connection to the story.

A great follow-up to imagination land indeed.

South Park really understands what matters to people. It's a true, honest-to-life recounting of my daily goings on. I feel South Park gets me.

I hope they find some sort of way to pit Kyle against Cartman! I've never seen that before!

I hope they keep up the Suck My Balls schtick that they've been doing. It's been hilarious.

South park and Guitar Hero together?

Why dont they just add some porn and make this the greatest episode in TV history.

Did anyone else catch that they ( Trey Parker and Matt Stone) Seem sort of pissed that they got an emmy for the "make love not warcraft" episode. In the Bono episode that recently aired, they took the emmy and stuck it in a giant pile of shit. Glad im not the only one that thought that episode was crap.

I hope they tool on Guitar Hero 3, especially the Wii version. A side-by-side comparison of GH2 and GH3 showed me just how bad Neversoft fucked up.

I'm sticking with Harmonix; at least I don't run into instant fail glitches in their games. (Srsly- I had a green SP meter and failed Knights of Cydonia at 96%.)
