I'm in Seattle and I think there is one a bit up north a bit. But then I'm pretty sure the closest one is all the way up in Bellingham. Practically to the Canadian border. KMarts are gone, so I wont be looking for ME early. As awesome as it would be, but oh well.

Ever since Martha went to jail, KMart hasn't even had the small crowd they had before!

There's also a K-Mart in Bremerton, WA, which is just a ferry ride and a 15-minute car ride away from Seattle. It may be worth a shot to call them, even though no one seems to be in the electronics dept. ever.

i work at kmart. We're a little more intelligent than a lot of people give us credit for.

Not saying ALL kmarts are like this, but they should be, seeing as how Mass Effect isn't even allowed to be sold in the register system. I tried to do a price check on it today, from our copies in the back. It says "BEFORE SALE DATE" which disallows the sale completely. I'm not entirely sure how this copy of Mass Effect got out. Maybe the person saw it in a shipping box and decided to argue with a manager about it. I don't know. But this shouldn't have happened at ANY store.

No K-Marts close enough to me to make it worth my while to go look to see if they have one.

Anyway, if there was such a huge concern over street dates, publishers should stop shipping out units early.

If they didn't ship things early, there would be no guarantee the game would be there on the day it's supposed to be released.

Why can't they just fucking sell stuff when it's ready? Sheesh. Air the Sci-Fi Mass Effect show on the 10th or something.

By the way, it's pointless for me to get it early, since I have a preorder for Mass Effect CE online, and overnighted.

Yeah, but doesnt have to be THAT early I think. Just seems to leave more room for these things to happen.

A few years ago a Wal-mart broke the street data with the AMERICAN PIE BAND CAMP DVD. They had it out one week early... no kidding... maybe we should also BLOG about this.

I know an employee that was fired from Target after buying Lair before its release date. These chodes, I cant understand how my former fellow Target Team Members can not notice the huge orange label on top of the cases that says "DO NOT SELL UNTIL XX/XX/XXXX". I mean really. I seen so many street dates broken due to carelessness.

I actually work that the Crofton Kmart (where the copy was bought) and normally, on games, movies, and music that isnt released yet isnt even in the computer...if you try to scan it it will say "before sell date" but for some reason when we got mass effect (on friday afternoon) it would actually ring up, even tho there is orange tape saying "Do Not Sell Before 11/20/07"...

if this makes it up the ladder to corporate (which im sure it will) there will be hefty fines on our store, and the associate (I know who did it) will most likely be moved out of the dept.
