South Park's Timmy, Freezepop in Rock Band
We've learned of the final five bonus tracks in Rock Band, and there are a few points of light here that will probably get a lot of you excited. Just a pro-tip from us to you: The cool kids should be jazzed about the inclusion of another song from the rad Freezepop. But if a smile sneaks on your face while thinking about screaming "Timmah!" into a microphone and being rewarded for it, we won't think any less of you.
- Bang Camaro "Pleasure (Pleasure)"
- Death of the Cool "Can't Let Go"
- Freezepop "Brainpower"
- Timmy & The Lords of the Underworld "Timmy & The Lords of the Underworld"
- Tribe "Outside"

Not to be a dick, but Bang Camaro and Freezepop's songs have been known for months. Freezepop announced their song's inclusion at this year's PAX concert. And the OXM final song list came out in the middle of last week.
Not trying to criticize; I forget sometimes that some people don't live and breathe Rock Band like me. :x
whymog @ Nov 13th 2007 11:03AM
Which reminds me, I need to get back to my dark, water-soaked cave and continue The Ritual. Seven more days.
FidliousWong @ Nov 13th 2007 11:04AM
Why did it have to be Brainpower? Why couldn't it be Get Drunk With Milk or maybe Do You Like My Wang? Brainpower is... well, too damn short.
FidliousWong @ Nov 13th 2007 11:09AM
I guess I do have a question. Is this the original version or the extended version for the CD single? In regards to "Timmy." Because you know, I'd pledge allegiance to the United States of Timmmmeeeeehhhhhhhhhh.
deaftly @ Nov 13th 2007 11:05AM
i would not hit it
d-pad @ Nov 13th 2007 11:31AM
Agreed.
FreezePop needs to be chucked into the Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator.
FidliousWong @ Nov 13th 2007 11:43AM
I have to wonder what it is you're hitting when you turn that down. She's not a 10, but she levitates between an 8-9. Good, especially considering her age.
Cap'n Jack @ Nov 13th 2007 11:53AM
No, she doesn't. Obviously you consider an 8 to be a 10, which would make her a 6. You should do more research.
TheWarden @ Nov 13th 2007 11:07AM
LOL... yeah, soooooo not hit it.
TIMAAAAAAAY!
gonk @ Nov 13th 2007 11:11AM
how dare they call it rock band yet not include any beatles
whymog @ Nov 13th 2007 11:13AM
Can you think of a single Beatles song that would be good to play?
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" doesn't count.
Phranctoast @ Nov 13th 2007 11:18AM
Everybodies got something to hide except me and my monkey?
Anything off the white album would be good.
gonk @ Nov 13th 2007 11:25AM
-"i want you"
-"twist and shout"
-"while my guitar gently weeps"
-about 50 other songs, those are just my top 3
gonk @ Nov 13th 2007 11:27AM
also no zeppelin
grrrr, i want to like rock band, but they only have a few good songs on their tracklist and as announced dlc
Ryan Henson Creighton @ Nov 13th 2007 10:13PM
Helter Skelter
Back in the USSR
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts' Club Band (reprise)
Monthenor @ Nov 13th 2007 11:12AM
Even more importantly, the list does NOT include Made in Mexico.
whymog @ Nov 13th 2007 11:13AM
YES WE
YES WE CAN

Why no love for 311??? They're a great band that's been around for 15+ years now?
Martin @ Nov 13th 2007 11:37AM
I agree. I'd love to see some Beautiful Disaster. A 311 song pack is probably the only one I would buy.
JodyAnthony (Good Eats Defense Force) @ Nov 13th 2007 11:27AM
I would make sweet sweet love to liz enthusiasm
mattydread @ Nov 13th 2007 11:43AM
Either I'm getting old, or simply out of touch with what's cool these days, but those people in that photo look strange! What happened to bands looking tough or wild? I'll do a quick search for their music to give it a chance when I'm not at a work computer since I don't like to be a hater, but man do those dudes look so weird to me!
gonk @ Nov 13th 2007 11:50AM
it's the emo look, it's popular these days among the teenage fanbase
brad77 @ Nov 13th 2007 11:57AM
They're an 80's synth pop band in the 00's, a musical anachronism, if you will.

This is what classic rock will be in 10 years or so, just wait and see.
d-pad @ Nov 13th 2007 11:59AM
Yes Matty, it's emo.
Remember, you can always gauge someone's 'emo-ness' by the level of force you wish to punch them with.
syco @ Nov 13th 2007 12:45PM
What, did you never play Frequency?
Dan @ Nov 13th 2007 1:04PM
Yeah freezepop are emo... and my mum owns the state of texas.
Their music is freely available to listen to on myspace, so there's no excuse for spouting 100% untrue bullshit.
whymog @ Nov 13th 2007 1:05PM
Jesus. You guys wouldn't know emo if it came over and cut itself in front of you.
Nicolas Redfern @ Nov 13th 2007 1:14PM
Arguments like these are what Wikipedia was created to solve! Freezepop aren't Emo, they're Synthpop.
d-pad @ Nov 13th 2007 1:31PM
Perhaps some of you should re-read the original post. He was referring to their look, not their sound.
Buddy on the left is dressed like an emo idiot.
Period.
why not the LS2LS7? @ Nov 13th 2007 2:35PM
No, it's not you. It's Freezepop who are out of touch. On purpose. They play keytars on stage, for chrissake.
I don't really agree they are completely 80s. They do make lightweight, almost jingle-type music, but it's not really 80s music. Gwen Stefani makes music that is more 80s (especially "Cool") than Freezepop.
stik_man @ Nov 13th 2007 11:50AM
I'd stick it in her dooker.
Martin @ Nov 13th 2007 12:05PM
Which looks just like her face.
Shockgamer @ Nov 13th 2007 11:52AM
This is the real loss of Harmonix being off Guitar Hero: No more Freezepop or joke songs. :(
Nicolas Redfern @ Nov 13th 2007 12:04PM
Damn, I don't have a 360 or PS3 so I can't get Rock Band, so no Freezepop :(
Luka M. @ Nov 13th 2007 12:13PM
What about PS2?
Awesome Stuff @ Nov 13th 2007 12:06PM

Won't T-Mobile sue them for using the colour Magenta?
Donald @ Nov 13th 2007 3:14PM
Joystiq sister site Engadget covered this:

dualityshift @ Nov 13th 2007 3:23PM
Sarcasm.
It's lost on the simple-minded.
