Ugh. This is one of the 3 games on 360 I'm really waiting for. One has been confirmed to still be in development, one is a 3rd party game well under way, and this one. This would suck as I'd be looking forward to a Marvel MMO for sometime now.

You'd think it would sell like hot cakes, what with the current popularity of Marvel superheroes.

Seems like they could have just bought the rights to a graphics engine then built the Marvel Universe around it, but maybe 10,000 Spider-men was a few too many to have running around at once.

At least with a generic Hero MMO one could beat up on villains without feeling somebody else was cutting in on their gimmick...

Maybe it's a "Were going to cancel it so you must like it!" marketing ploy....I hope...

I was actually going to suggest this when looking at lists of games, but then I remembered "a game that lots of people were looking forward to". I can't even remember the last time I've even read a vague comment about this game.

From what I recall of early development, you wouldn't be able to play the Marvel characters, just create your own that would interact with them. If that were the case then it makes sense to a degree but it would also be misleading to the consumer. It would have been more in tone with Marvel Sidekicks Online. I don't think many fans would buy into that so it's kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for Cryptic Studios.

Hurraaaaay!!

It's a game I don't give a shit about, as opposed to one that I might actually play (Alan Wake, Halo Wars, etc.)

It kind of sucks but I'm just happy all the other rumoured games weren't cancelled. I would'nt be happy if Alan Wake, Banjo Kazooie, Halo Wars or Fable 2 would be cancelled!
