Damn. I got tricked into buying the game because of all the pre-launch hype. I was disappointed with the end result, though it was still somewhat enjoyable.

Time to figure out to whom I can re-gift the game.

When I saw the video posted on this site, (it might have been Joystiq...I can't remember..), awhile back I was pleasantly surprised by the demonstration.

As far as I can tell, the developers of this game should make an original game, not based on a license, focusing on the music portions of this while learning from the mistakes from both this and Jam Sessions. As far as I can tell, having not played either game, both experiment with something that could work well...while neither hit the nail on the head 100%, both bring very legitimate ideas to the system.

I can only hope that one developer or the other, if not an entirely different one, take advantage of these "experiments" to make a truly stand-out effort showing exactly why the DS has outsold ever other console, (for the most part), for so long.

I guess those are just my personal thoughts on this, but none-the-less. If nothing else, the developers of this game have set an example that just because a game is based on a license doesn't mean it needs to be made with a cookie-cutter. Hopefully other developers take notice, (though I somehow doubt they will...).

I remember that video DomoBraden recalled. It was the one thing that made me hesitant over buying Jam Sessions. I'm actually disappointed that all the prelaunch hype didn't pull through. I love Jam Sessions, but there are so many things that could make it more.
