Speaking of LittleBigPlanet, isn't that supposed to be out by now?

A demo was promised sometime in November but the game itself was always 2008.

Think of the possibilities for "Oh, there's my steed"-style hilarity!

Get ready for a flood of penis shaped game objects.

In all seriousness, this is a pretty cool concept.

It's almost like all these things are being... drawn to life.

This would be cool if you had a game wher you can draw your own weapons like in those old cartoons. Draw an anvil and it would fall on your enemies and such.

Yeah, too bad the object you draw is just subject to the rules the game already has. But I guess anything more would be magic.

MagicEye?

I have a feeling this won't make it into LittleBigPlanet, but it would be cool to be able to create objects and select color to fill in the details like a paint software. It'll probably start off as a PSN EyeToy game and move from there. They wouldn't want to make it mandatory to have an EyeToy to play LittleBigPlanet, but it would be a nice added feature for those that have the EyeToy to use. I guess you can accomplish the same thing by adding mouse support to creating objects in games like LittleBigPlanet.

Is it a conflict diamond because Ludwig is from deepest, darkest Afrika?

Really awesome videos... you really have to see the last one, it's by far the best. Scanning in your own sprites into a game would be fantastic. Little Big Planet did talk about doing some of the same sort of thing, though I think it was loading them off a USB drive rather than using the Eye. You'll get a better picture off a loaded file, obviously, but you can't load your little cousin's stuffed animal via the USB port.

Here's to hoping they include this kind of a feature in Little Big Planet, in an update if not in the original game.

It's really a shame that most people can't draw to save their lives, though.

Prepare to fight an army of misproportioned stick figures in the next game to use this!

Bah, you don't have to be able to draw, you just steal real life stuff.... action figures, pictures from magazines, toys, photos of your ex girlfriend....

Wasnt this done on that game for the ds? I am curious if sony markets this as never done before.

I don't recall a DS game where you drew a picture on a piece of paper, or a real life object, and scanned it directly into the game using a camera, no. So yes, Sony could quite accurately market this as never having been done before.

It could be cool. The question is how well will sony implement this into their games.
