what's the point of star trek on HD? Its not going to look any better. That was filmed so long ago its not going to be sharp.why are studios putting out so much old stuff that most people got like 5 years ago on dvd.

Anything shot on 35mm film stock can look great in HD. Can't wait for the Shat to hit the fan.

@drdre74: As Falkinator said, 35mm looks great in HD. In addition, Paramount went through and manually restored every episode and fixed up the special effects so that they look amazing. Many people have seen an episode in the theater (not sure where...) and they were blown away with how good it looked. If you're a fan of TOS, this is a MUST BUY.
