Haze delayed until 2008, brings Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with it
After last week's report of Haze being on track for a December release, we're now prompted to point out the rather abrupt appearance of a detour in-between the metaphorical train and its final stop at the PlayStation 3. It seems the designers at Free Radical didn't receive nearly enough coal to reach the lead platform in time for Christmas, and now hope that you'll conduct your purchase of their first-person shooter in the first quarter of 2008.
Thankfully devoid of increasingly insufferable train puns, a Gamasutra article details the delay mentioned within Ubisoft's favorable first-half financial results. Sales for le publisher rose by 52% to $372.86 million, with profits jumping up 12% to $44.8 million. You might consider the money already spent on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, expected to arrive in the same quarter as Haze. Not much is known about the sequel, save that it'll (probably) feature soldier-types shooting up evil, one-armed bandits.
Fellow Tom Clancy property, Splinter Cell: Conviction continues to be wishy-washy about a potential release date, as it's also been pushed back to Ubisoft's fiscal year 2008-2009.

It is hard to say really. I can't see it as a good thing. It isn't like the 360 isn't getting a fair share of delays as well, but they aren't suffering near as bad as Sony for lost exclusives and delayed games.
Good job Free Radical. Don't release it if its not ready. The Holiday market (especially for FPSs) was already pretty crowded.

But past weekend, oh men, I was on fire... like 20 3 Hearts comments.
What? It's only timed exclusive to the PS3...
At least read the "File Under" section.

To be honest this isn't that bad,I was interested in Haze beause it looked like a console version of Crysis(Not in graphics) but since the Xb360 version isn't confirmed and the PC version is far away the only version left was the PS3 version and since I still don't have one the game can burn in hell for all that I care.
Now that Rainbow Six Vegas 2....Oh wait I don't like rainbow six series.

Somebody had hope. Keep the hope alive!

It could be that they're still fixing up this game (which I highly doubt), as other people have already stated, the developers probably delayed the game so that they can release it when more people have ps3s.

lolz!

Why compete on the PS3 for disappointing sales at best? They might as well release all three versions in the spring and hope they catch some Lost Planet style success.

Brand Loyalty (doesn't necessarily mean fanboyism)
MGS4 / FFXIII
The fact that PS2 > Xbox + GCN
Multimedia function
Most expensive console with most functionality. Some people gotta have that
Home...lol
Your 11 year old buddy thinks it is better
Just the opinion that it is better, regardless of how you came to it. Some people don't even know that GTA:IV is coming to 360. ;)
You don't like shooters, in which case the games are more even
It looks cooler than a 360
Remember, the majority of consumers are not as into this crap as we are, so you can forget the "it has better games" argument when thinking about the mass population. I have a buddy that plays more 360 than I do (he's awesome at Halo 3 and Guitar Hero. And I mean sick awesome at them.) And he had never even heard of Mass Effect or Orange Box (or Half Life 2 for that matter).
