Mr. T and William Shatner ham it up for World of Warcraft commercials

There are two new commercials for World of Warcraft featuring Mr. T and William Shatner. Mr. T is a "mohawk" warrior and Shatner is a shaman. We have no idea why World of Warcraft needs to be advertised, but if it gives us gems like this -- we'll take 'em!

Both ads can be found after the break and on the WoW site for download. There is also an ad with Verne Troyer (Mini Me) expected in the near future -- we're hoping for something less obvious than him being a gnome. Keep these types of ads coming Blizzard, we know you've got the money.

I can't stop laughing at Night Elf Mohawk.

Yeah, because Blizzard needs to advertise a 3(?) year old game in order to revive its stagnant userbase (around 9 MILLION subscribers) in order to eek out a profit... Good lord.

I almost forgot how horrible those graphics were. Uninformed TV audiences might mistake this for a Wii game ;-)

Well, the only thing better than assloads of money is shit-tons. That is probably what Blizzard is thinking with these ads.

Don't assume that. Both he and Lenoard Nemoy had albums in the 70s -- you're not missing anything if you've never heard them (although Mr. Spock singing "Proud Mary" is a unique experience).

I think this is my favorite commercial ever.......

I stopped playing WoW months ago, but I just realized I played a Tauren Shaman, just like Shatner.

What was my character's name?

If there was anything that could get me to do WoW, it's Mr. T, insulting a condescending announcer and showing off his programming skills by making a Night Elf Mohawk. Now, if he can just hack the game to make that class available to others, I'm sold.

Maybe Mr.T is good with computers? Maybe Mr. T hacked the game and created a Mohawk class, Mr Condecending director!

I saw the Mr T one the other night, it was hilarious. "What? I said Night Elf Mohawk, I can be a Mohawk if I want to!" or something like that.

Perhaps the Night Elf with the Mohawk is an illusion to the ability to change hairstyles that's allegedly going to be in Lich King?
