New BlackSite demo invades XBLM

Hey, remember BlackSite? What's that? You don't? Allow us to refresh your memory: Unreal Engine 3, aliens, rain, Clancy-esque squad controls. Ringing any bells? There we go. It seems BlackSite is hoping to make more of an impression, as a new demo has been released on Xbox Live Marketplace. We haven't gotten a chance to take it for a spin yet (it's nearly a gig, so the download is taking its sweet time), but the description lets us know two things. One, it is a new demo, and two, you'll be fighting your way through "the streets and backyards of a small American town." As you well know, there aren't nearly enough backyards in FPS games, so you should probably give BlackSite a try.

I finished Blacksite, and its not a bad game. While its not on the same level of other FPS's like Halo 3, COD4, or Bioshock; it was a fun shooter on its own merits. The problem is the release date was right in the middle of what is quite possibly the greatest release schedule in video game history. Pick up Blacksite when it hits the bargin bin.

The first demo sucked. Looked and felt like a PS2 game. Will have to check this new one out.

The first demo was so much fun and looked great (the rain on the sign at the beginning, the aliens... ps2 graphics, are you kidding?). I really can't wrap my brain around what people dissing it are talking about, but like Andro said, its a terrible release date and will sadly have to wait...

Isn't this like the 3rd demo for this game? Man, sales must be terrible. I played the first demo, made me think of a modern Resistance or really Killzone 2 stuff. I don't know if I'm in the mood for another shooter though, I'm enjoying Mass Effect too much and since Haze and Army of Two got pushed back until 2008.. why would I want this?
