PSN Thursday: Gobble up the content early

Just like our GameTap Thursday post, it looks like our PSN Thursday post is coming in a little early because of the Turkey Day holiday. You pretty much know about most of this stuff already, but we're going to put it all on a platter after the break for easy consumption. The highlight this week -- and we're stretching that definition just a bit -- is the new PlayStation Eye titles Aquatopia and Operation Creature Feature.

Of course, for the Rock Band faithful there is all the new DLC content available. Also, even though it's not part of the update, don't forget about the PSN "sale" going on right now.

uhhh didnt rockband just come out? people are ok with buying an incomplete game, then purchasing music less than a week of its release thinkging its actually bonus songs? i guess im one of the only ones who doesnt really like these rockband/guitar hero games... ive already played them like 5-6 years ago (with better gameplay mechanics) called Frequency/Amplitude.

Plus i hate MTV so i wont give them extra money (harmonix was cool before them)

Yeah, I think its funny how EA releases NFS then a DLC "collectors" pack that has 3-4 more cars. Those should have been in the fucking game to begin with. This is why this whole download content thing sucks.

Ummm the update occurred on Tuesday, as did the Update Blog from SONY's Playstation.Blog. We also were given the new Store.Playstation site as well. The Rock Band content has been available for PS3 owners since Tuesday as well, before the 360.

Yeah, it's atrocious how incomplete games are being released and we pay for more material that really needed to be included in the original; but in defense of this particular instance, it's been made clear all along that Rock Band songs would constantly be added following the release, as deals and such were completed.
