Joystiq Holidaze: Gaming Hots and Nots

By no means do we consider this guide a definitive source for your holiday shopping. Some people still need boxers, pencils, dress shirts, and notepads this holiday. This guide, unfortunately for those individuals, focuses solely on the games we think, after some heated discussions in our email thread, should make even the Ebenezers on your list as giddy as Tiny Tim. Well, what are you waiting for, friends? Hit the break, and know our list better, man! (And woman.)
Microsoft Xbox 360
Oh, Xbox 360 -- we know your red rings well. However, that doesn't mean we love you any less. We just get frustrated that much like an aneurysm bursting, your death can come at any moment, without warning. If you're looking to get your first 360 this Holidaze, we've compiled a guide to sift through the SKU madness and help you select the model that works best for you.
HOT: Mass Effect. Why? Beneath the hoopla surrounding the the interstellar cross-species mating lies a deep, engaging RPG-Shooter from Bioware. You play as Commander Shepherd, and are on a quest to -- shock and awe -- save the galaxy from unspeakable evil visited upon you by a now rogue agent. It's an immersive experience that's sure to delight any of those people you know who love Star Wars, Firefly, or Battlestar Galatica.
HOT: Rock Band. Why? Come on, who hasn't dreamed of being the star of the show, having an audience scream your name as you strum on the guitar, belt out your singles, and beat on the drums -- ha, sorry, we couldn't keep it up there. We know no one really cheers for the drummer. Regardless, you'd be hard pressed to find a better multiplayer experience this holiday season. Don't be surprised if everyone in the family, from your great aunt Ruth to your dog, wants to try.
HOT: The Orange Box. Why? Valve Value, baby! For the price of a single game, you get one of the best single player experiences this year, Portal, a fantastic multiplayer game in Team Fortress 2, and Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, and Half-Life 2: Episode Two. All of these games are classified as first person shooters, so be sure the person you pick this up for likes that genre, otherwise... you'll have gotten them a five game box, but it'll be five games they won't enjoy.
NOT: Fusion Frenzy 2. Why? Because we know what you're thinking -- "Hey, it's a mini-game game, that means fun for everyone!" If we could reach out from the screen and slap you for thinking that, we would. However, that technology hasn't been invented ... yet. So instead, all we can do is advise you to stay far, far away from this game, unless you like crappy games.
NOT: Two Worlds. Why? Sure, it reads as if this game follows in the footsteps of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but that's not the case. If, for example, Oblivion contained an ounce of bad, and the rest was good, it would be easy to say Two Worlds took that ounce, and in a defiance of the laws of nature that render it impossible to create matter from where there is none, made it into several kilograms of bad. Stay away, please.
Who is the console best for? People who want a huge game library to choose from, those who value online play.
Nintendo DS
Still selling as if its going out of style, those disbelievers have been proven wrong ten times over with the success of Nintendo's dual screen system. Not only does the device offer some unique experiences, but the library features enough quality titles to enjoy all the way until 20XX.
HOT: Puzzle Quest. Why? Combining Bejeweled with a RPG produced one of the year's best gaming experiences, which unfortunately flew under the radar of many casual gamers. Even if they don't like the idea of wizards, trolls, zombies, and dwarfs, the core gameplay provides a challenging, and addictive time for all.
HOT: Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations. Why? Providing one of the most consistently good experiences in gaming the past few years, it would be a challenge to find DS owners who haven't taken a stab at being a legal eagle. Sure, it's approaching the point of Mega Man level series milking, but we're not quite there yet. Enjoy the good times -- and this game -- while they last.
NOT (sort of): Contra 4. Why? Wait, stay with us for a moment. We like Contra IV. We think its a great game, but the issue is that you shouldn't expect to pick this up for a little kid, and see them stay with it for more than a few tries. Contra IV would definitely be "HOT" for adults, but as a whole, this game should be purchased only for the people that boast about previous experience with the Contra franchise.
Who is this handheld best for? Anyone. Seriously. The defense rests.
Nintendo Wii
It'll be one of, if not the hardest "toy" to find this Holidaze, so if you haven't started searching for one yet, you're already miles behind your competition. If your kids are screaming about Wii this year, it wasn't about going number one, but about Nintendo's console.
HOT: Super Mario Galaxy. Why? It's a him, Mario! The most iconic figure in all video games finally has a new platformer on the console. If you haven't picked up this one already, or if you just acquired a Wii, this needs to be the number one game on your list.
HOT: Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. Why? Behind its cutesy exterior lies a plenty of puzzles to be solved, and a quality that, for Wii games, you usually only find in first party titles. Plus, aren't pirates really popular currently, or did parts two and three of Pirates of the Caribbean kill that rise they had going?
NOT: Most everything else. Odds are that if you're picking up the system, you'll be getting at the most two games with it. Please, please make those Super Mario Galaxy and Zak & Wiki.
Who is this console best for? Kids love it, grandparents love it, parents love it, but a certain subset of gamers turn their nose upwards around Nintendo's cream colored console. Maybe it's because being a hater is "cool." We wouldn't know.
PC
Yes, those boxes sitting on your desk aren't just for connecting to the Internet and changing your profile picture on MySpace -- they can play games as well! Surprising, right? Despite the fact the majority of gaming takes place on a console (sans casual gaming), there are still titles on the PC worth picking up for those gamers in your life.
HOT: Crysis. Why? Aliens and guns are a pretty standard combination, but when the game manages to combine those with jaw dropping graphics, you have to take notice. You'll just want to make sure what type of graphics card their computer has, because this game requires a lot of power under the hood.
HOT: The Orange Box. Why? Same reasons we suggested it for Xbox 360 owners -- five games, and a mix of narrative experiences, quick multiplayer, and the best ending song for a game ever. And if you've already paid for Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One you can re-gift it to another individual! Score!
NOT: Windows Vista. Why? Because a buggy operation system only hinders a gamer's experience. Stick with XP for now.
Who is the PC best for? Um, hmm -- hey, look, over there!
Sony PlayStation 2
Yes, it's the console that keeps on giving. It's cheap, the games are still great, and did we mention the price?
HOT: God of War II. Why? It might seem God of War II came out last year, but it really was this year. But that was so long ago! Everyone must have played it, right? Right? If they haven't, do them a solid and get this game at a ridiculously reduced price. They'll love your, and your wallet won't be nearly as light.
HOT: Persona 3. Why? If you know someone who loves RPGs, with a mix of dungeon crawling and dating sims, Persona 3 is a perfect choice. However, you have been warned that you can miss seeing that individual for a period of 40-80 hours depending on how quickly they play a game. But maybe you wanted some alone time anyway.
NOT: Manhunt 2. Why? Controversy aside, the banning did nothing more than delay an average product from hitting shelves when it should have, forcing us to write about it for additional months.
Who is this console best for? Those who want a massive library of games to choose from. Even if their favorite genre is something obscure like "anime dating sim first person shooter adventures," there is most likely a game on the PS2 for them.
Sony PlayStation 3
The dark horse this holiday season, the PlayStation 3 looks to please gamers this Christmas with a lower price point, while still continuing to offer multiple versions on the market -- to clear up that confusion, check out our handy dandy SKU review.
HOT: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Why? Have you seen the reviews? This game could possibly be one of the best games of the year, and it's a PS3 exclusive. If you had told us that would have been the case at the start of the year, we would have scoffed at you. Scoffed! But now, we're eating crow, but it's a delicious one.
HOT: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Why? While there are complaints that this series is starting to stagnate, we still think finding a better platforming experience on the PlayStation 3 would be a bit of a challenge. Plus, all the violence in this one is of the animated variety, which makes it better for kids than Uncharted.
HOT: Blu-ray movies. Why? Ratatouille in hi-def is a sight to behold. Plus, they're cheaper than most next-gen games.
NOT: Lair. Why? Because if we really wanted to use motion controls, we would play Wii games. Sure, driving a dragon around sounds like a great idea, but believe us when we say receiving this as a give would be seen as more of a punishment by gamers than a present.
Who is this console best for? People who absolutely must have every gadget; people who want a gaming system and hi-def video player in the same device.
If you're looking for deals on any of these systems or games, be sure to check out our "Black Friday" Holidaze guide as well.
Hopefully this guide allows you, or someone you know, make a more informed purchase this holiday season. Game on.

I take offense at the misspelling of Trials in the Phoenix Wright listing.
And I don't think anything can be milked as much as Megaman.
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:24AM
I don't even know how they can say the Ace Attorney franchise is "milked". It's been a game a year, and the Phoenix Wright saga is a trilogy.
In Japan, it took 6 years to release the 4 games we're getting in 3 years. Maybe they'll actually have no spelling/grammar errors in Apollo Justice.
WiNG @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:12AM
girl in gray sweatshirt up front ... win
BIGGEN @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:45AM
first thing i noticed about that pic too. wow
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:47AM
*looks*
Woah, I'd hit that.
Tango Charlie @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:03PM
Guys, you're all missing the REAL hottie. She's the blonde one, sort of half-way up in the image... behind the fat dude with the rosy cheeks, and to the left. Okay, she sort of has her face turned away, but take it from me - she is SMOKING HOT.
Steve @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:16AM
Holidaze? As in, Holy Daze?
As an atheist, I'm very offended.
Nate @ Nov 23rd 2007 1:14PM
Haul-eh-days. And I hope you were joking. Otherwise, stop making us atheists look bad. we're supposed to be more tolerant than that.
Steve @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:41PM
Relax, of course it was a joke.
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:22AM
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn not worth buying? Any reason why?
I'd mention NiGHTS, but I don't think that's out yet.
Silent Xenocide @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:07PM
Because the game is garbage maybe?
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:12PM
Fire Emblem? Garbage?
*laughs*
Noshino @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:16PM
nothing compared to the previous FE's? NOTHING...
Apparently Nintendo has been lowering the difficulty of the FE games lately...SIGH
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:24PM
More characters, more chapters, 4 main characters...
Nothing compared to previous FEs? You're kidding, right?
And there's multiple difficulties, I believe.
*is an FE fanboy*
Noshino @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:26PM
Shadow El,
I'm also a FE fanboy, I still don't count the NGC and the Wii FE's as such, they suck, oh, and the last one for gba also sucked.
and yes, the difficulty on all 3 of them has dropped...A LOT
if you can tell me that any of those 3 get harder than playing Hector's story on Hard mode, then you have lost all credibility to me (also if you tell me that Rath is better than Rebecca, lol)
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:29PM
Hector was insanely hard, but that was a harder difficulty setting.
Yes, Sacred Stones sucked, but Radiant Dawn has surpassed Path of Radiance, and probably will also surpass Fire Emblem (I forget the Japanese title) on GBA.
4. Main. Characters. Also, there's what, like, 42 chapters? And side-chapters again?
Also. Laguz.
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:30PM
Also, Rath WAS better than Rebecca.
Noshino @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:45PM
if I recall correctly, Eliwood's Normal Mode was around 35 or so, so that would make Hector's Hard mode go beyond 40, so yah, number of chapters doesn't mean much, the core of FE is teh fighting mechanics and the insane difficulty of the game, which both are considerably low nowadays.
Hell, I remember having to level my core party at that level where you meet Dart for the first time and you have to catch up to his Captain, there is an arena there, and I had to get all of my chars there to lvl 20, which was a bitch to do.
Really, I played the 3 last titles, and I can tell you that I was really upset of how awful they had become, hell, Intelligent System has done it for about what, 5-6 consecutive titles? all were great...what happened?!?!
and yah, you just lost all credibility, the fact that Rath can use a sword just makes him cooler, but still, Rebecca can kick his ass anytime, oh, I remember having beat 3 whole parties in a row with Rebecca alone...
Best party is Rebecca, Hector, Canas (only black magic user, and hey, he looks cool, shuddup), Jaffar, and DART!!!
Enderon @ Nov 24th 2007 2:12PM
@Noshino: So your idea of "difficulty" is forced grinding? No offense, but that doesn't sound like a game I want to be playing. I would rather the difficulty be in the strategy.
I got Radiant Dawn and I'm having a great time with it. Easy mode is VERY easy, but it's there for people who are new to the series. However just putting it on Normal is a pretty good challenge. Just the slightest mistake usually tends to get a character killed. And obviously I can't play hard mode (or whatever they're calling it these days) because I have to beat the game first.
Skeffington @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:27AM
Well, if you're in the UK, you can also get Endless Ocean for the Wii which is really worth it. I think it deserves to be a 'cult' hit at least as much as Zak & Wiki.
thethirdmoose @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:28AM
You know, the Wii has other good games, like Medal of Honor: Heroes 2
LilCo187 @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:52PM
I'll second that one!
Karen @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:32AM
I'll add Zelda Phantom Hour Glass to the DS recommendation list. This games great and really quite funny. The banter back and forth between the fairy and the ship captain has had me laughing out loud a few times so far.
Dan are you going to be on the player one podcast next week?
Fernando Rocker @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:35AM
Captain Linebeck is the best charactter in Phantom Hourglass.
=)
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:32AM
Also, I'm pretty sure it's Zack and Wiki, not Zak and Wiki.
Kazi @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:39AM
You forgot about a lot of great games. But I'll forgive you for being lazy.
pixelator @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:50AM
As usual, Joystiq snubs the PSP.
I guess 'being a hater is cool', as you guys said yourself.
Shadow El ( NDF - Zola Ring ) @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:27PM
Maybe if the PSP had any good games released this YEAR, much less this holiday season.
pixelator @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:05PM
Yeah, because Metacritic and Gamerankings are making it up when they list more games rated over 80 on PSP than DS... And there were no games like Jeanne D'Arc, Final Fantasy Tactics, Syphone Filter Logan's Shadow, Castlevania, etc... To say nothing of the excellent library it's built up over the past three years.
PSP haters are the most obvious fanboys.
Trev @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:52AM
Couple additions for the PS3 section.
Hot: Rock Band. Why? Same reasons as above; its great.
Not: Orange Box. Why? Valve opted to hand over the porting job to EA, who surprised everyone and managed to make a three year old game run like shit. Throw in connection issues for TF2 and the only thing left without problems is Portal, and it alone isn't worth $60. If they weren't going to try, why did they bother at all?
GoldenS1104 @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:56AM
"anime dating sim first person shooter adventures"
dam you joystiq! don't get my hopes up!
Simstim @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:56AM
Is there a good reason why Rockband is hot for the 360 but not the PS3?
Also no COD4 love? This hot or not list sucks.
Silent Xenocide @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:03PM
lol @ no PSP. Thats ok though.
I think I might get Persona 3 if my PS2 worked, sounds like an interesting game.
Noshino @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:24PM
how is it ok?...
Disgaea, Castlevania, Siphon Filter, MGS, Silent Hill, Jeanne D'Arc, MH2 (they are counting for the whole year right?), FFT: The War of The Lions....blah, I could keep going, there is just so many games for PSP, hell, there is even Crisis Core for the VII fans...
Silent Xenocide @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:37PM
I'm not saying the PSP is bad. I picked it up a few weeks ago with FFT and have been having fun with it so far. Except the screen scratches too easily. And the batteries I bought for it will not work.
Alien @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:33PM
Why the hell isnt there no PSP section ... Im sick and tired of sites loosing interest in the PSP , especially in a great period like this ... well at least we can delight ourselves with great hardware sales lately , and one of th best fall lineup ever :?
pixelator @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:09PM
Oh, JQ editors haven't lost interst - they've been 'interested' in bashing and hating on it since before it even came out. This glaring omission is just the latest in a very long history of innuendo, sarcasm and other slights they've been heaping on it since 2004.
Cyro @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:37PM
From Looking at this list I would probably pick up a 360 because the only real alternative is a Wii and you are sure as hell not going to find one this holiday season.
Nate @ Nov 23rd 2007 1:24PM
Don't let the list fool you. The PS3 is a great alternative to the 360 - comparably powerful hardware for only $50 more, but free online play, the hardware is a million times more reliable, it has motion sensing like the wii, it plays hi-def movies, and it has most of the same games as the 360, with a comparable exclusive game list.
For anyone over the age of 14, the PS3 is my recommendation for this holiday season, you'll never regret the decision, unlike everyone I know with a wii who got bored of it, or who's waiting 6-8 weeks to get a used (sorry, refurbished) 360 in replacement of their new one that broke spontaneously.
umm....hello??? @ Nov 23rd 2007 2:25PM
@Nate-
You're a fucking idiot PS3/SonyFanBoy. The 360 has alot more going for it right now than the PS3. The RROD is getting old news--you can get a replacement easily--oh, and remember the PS2 disc tray errors? Oh, but they took care of that years ago so its not news anymore. MS is taking care of the RROD problem so it shouldn't be news anymore either.
That's not to say that the PS3 isn't good--but the other systems are not the crap you make them out to be. The motion controls on the Wii are WAYYYY bettern than on the PS3--when I play the MotorStorm Demo or WarHawk I always put motion to the analog sticks. BluRay looks nice but most people that have a HDTV also subscribe to HD cable/satellite channels with OnDemand for movies. You might pay more for MS's online service, but its "millions times more reliable" than Sony's. Wait until the PS3 has as many consoles sold as the 360 and as many online members, THEN tell us how much better their online services are--maybe all your games will be like TF2 and have lots of lag. Who knows? Definitely not you or I. So stop being so biased.
They all have their strengths/weaknesses, and other than the omission of the PSP, Joystiq came up with a nice rundown of gaming gifts.
My systems throughout the years:
Atari2600, Commodore64, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, PSOne, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360, PC (well, not really because my PC is basic--not gaming rigged. but good enough for those casual flash-based games).
Steve @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:47PM
"For anyone over the age of 14"
I'm guessing you're 15. Happy birthday.
Silent Xenocide @ Nov 23rd 2007 12:42PM
It can't be that hard to find a Wii. Me and my friend both found one last december.
Fish @ Nov 23rd 2007 1:54PM
Metroid Prime 3 probably could be added to the list also.. considering you added GoW2. Just sayin.
Steve @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:46PM
No! No good Wii games ever came out prior to last month. In December, we will all have to say, "Zack & Who? What a piece of crap game! Why can't Wii have any GOOD games!" In January we will have to say the same about Mario Galaxy.
In February, Smash Bros. Brawl will be the first ever half-decent Wii game. And on it goes...
In fact the only way Wii will ever be considered to have any good games is if the system dies like the Dreamcast. There's too much backlash in the gaming press to judge the games seriously.
aaron @ Nov 23rd 2007 3:00PM
First of all i would like to say that i do not like this list AT ALL. Currently i have a PS3 and a Wii and i plan to get a 360 after christmas when i can get them cheaper.
I love my Wii. I coulnt belive that they said that those are the only 2 good games for the Wii....There is also
1.Metroid Prime 3
2. RE Umbrella Chronicals
3.Mario and Sonic Olympics
4.Wii Zapper with Links crossbow training
5. Nights
All great games that should be picked up for your Wii
I LOVE my PS3. Dispite what it seems like EVERYONE is saying, i feel that the PS3 is a great system. Sure it had a slow start but it is getting there and this is just the begining of the great gaming line-up that is to come. Some of my other favorites for the PS3 that you should get are
1. Assassins Creed (great game if not rushed to meet a deadline like the guys reviewing it were)
2. Unreal Tournement 3 (coming in December)
3. Eye of Judgment
4. Call of Duty 4
5. Guitar Hero 3 (just got and its INSANE!)
Well those are just some others that i thinks should have been added to the list and sorry to all the psp guys out there since you got ripped off on the list.
CrazedCow @ Nov 23rd 2007 5:10PM
funny that the only game on your list that is ps3 exclusive is eye of judgement. games like halo 3, mass effect, and bioshock have already wiped most of those other ones off people's top 5 xbox 360 list.
i personally don't think the ps3 is going to last. your list points directly to the problem: no exclusives. i wish one of my friends had a ps3, because uncharted looks like it would be an entertaining game (why isn't that on the list), but i just don't think it's going to hold up unless they get some hot exclusives in the next half year. maybe ff13/vs will save them, but i honestly think that series has taken a turn for the worse as well (i know i'm going to get eaten alive for that comment).
aaron @ Nov 23rd 2007 8:30PM
First of all I am not one of those fanboys that will chew you out for your statement, its America so say what you feel. I know where you are coming from about the exclusives but you need to remember also, like i remind my friends all the time lol, that the 360 has a years head start on the PS3 (which is the smartest move MS has ever made). For me when i talk about exclusives i talk purley console, so i count Unreal 3 as an exclusive (for now at least). Personally I think that 08 will be an amazing year for the PS3 exclusives wise. I mean come on you have
1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. Final Fantasy 13/Vs
3. Little Big Planet
4. Haze (now....)
5. Gran Turismo 5
6. Killzone (2 or 3 i dont know which it is)
7. God of War 3
8. White Knight Story
(I know not all are for 08 but nost are)
Then there are the non-exclusives, off the top of my head i can think of
1. GTA 4
2. Devil May Cry 4
3. Soul Caliber 4
4. ....i cant think of any more, I'm to tired lol
I also love the 360 and play with my friends all the time and it is just a matter of time before i get one. I also dont think that the PS3 will do too bad, yeah it wont probably come in first this race (go ahead and give that to the Wii for all i care) but i dont think that it will do "Gamecube or Dreamcast" bad either.
V-G @ Nov 23rd 2007 9:55PM
Got Damn! The Fanboys have spoken!
A lot of you people on here suck... LMAO
Here's The Truth From A Non-Biased Mouth
THE LIST
Yeah it "sucks". But it really doesn't matter. Nobody on this site needs this list. Obviously, because most of you spoke up about your favorite games. You know what you want. You've done the research yourself. The list really doesn't matter.
Xbox 360
The 360 has the biggest and most exclusive A+ library. Don't bitch about it! It's the truth. "Live" is takin a piss on the Wii and the PS3... Yeah, there are tech problems, but there slowly being wiped out... Can't find too much bad to say about the 360 except that there are a hell of a lot of accessories to buy for it... and don't say I'm a Fanboy because I don't even own one.
Nintendo DS
I don't know why they say it's for everyone... I think it sucks. Nintendo simply isn't trying. There making all the DS money in hardware sales. Nobody can give me a list of 10 great games for the past 6 months... The DS has potential, but Nintendo ain't tappin it, nor any third-party for that matter. Don't say I'm a DS hater, I own one.
Nintendo Wii
The Wii.....Gaming's Enigma.... When people buy the Wii, what games do they buy? Let me re-phrase. When GAMERS buy the Wii, what games do they buy? I'm lost for answers. SMG, MP3, maybe Z&W... Then what? Do you backtrack to past long past software? These games are fun, but they're not much of drawn-out experience. Channels are half assed, online didn't even make it to half assed; they could earn a quarter-assed maybe, games are half assed... What more can I say? Don't say I'm a Wii hater, I own one.
PC
PC is PC. You're either a PC gamer or not.
PS2
Well, if you want to play games you've been hearing about for half-a-decade, you've found your winner. Don't get me wrong, but who in the hell would buy a PS2 at this point? If you do, you have a primary currentgen-system already.... and have some money to blow...
PS3
That fucked up start is still biting Sony in the ass! The library isn't amazing, it's damn expensive, and their online isn't "Live". But, nonetheless, the PS3 is heating up and is a damn good deal on a Blu-Ray player. Sony is a bitch but the PS3 is worth it.
PSP
Haha! Really, in my very strong opinion, I feel the handheld market is a joke... The PSP has a cool little library... but really, it isn't... special. The PSP is worth it, but it's not a neccesity.
Well, I've clearly forgot what the hell my point was in writing this, but now you know my synopsis of the consoles out there for the consumer to buy.
I've got a tingly feeling inside like this was pointless! Lol.
Steve @ Nov 23rd 2007 11:55PM
"Got Damn! The Fanboys have spoken!
A lot of you people on here suck... LMAO"
Whenever I read a dim person writing "LOL" or "LMAO," I wonder if his mom is tickling him while he's writing. Is yours?
If you really own a Wii and DS and hate them, and want a 360 and don't own it, maybe you're just a spoiled child. If your parents get you a 360 for Christmas, will you come on here and post about how PS3 is the only decent console?
Alien @ Nov 24th 2007 8:59AM
The PSP is not a necesity .. did you even ever had one , I guess not , because if you did , you wouldent say stuff like this you retard ... seriously , just because you rather buy a weak quality , two screened shit , dont say stuff that you dont know ...
