Q: Will there be a keyboard for the PSP?
A: Not officially. However, older systems that are homebrew-ready have a workaround solution. A USB keyboard officially supported by Sony would be great, but unlikely.
Q: Why haven't the demos from the PLAYSTATION Store been uploaded to PSP Fanboy?
A: Unfortunately, the demos are DRM protected, so they can't be shared from system to system. Hopefully, this will be remedied in the future.
Q: Is there a US release of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core yet?
A: No. Unfortunately, there is no planned release. We're going to have to be a bit more patient for this one.
Q: Is the new PSP a worthwhile purchase for those that have the old one?
A: I am thoroughly enjoying the new PSP's much lighter weight. Using the old system does feel archaic after spending so much time with the original. However, if you don't feel like your PSP system is too big or too heavy, then you'll save a good bit of money by not upgrading. Get the new system if you really want to take advantage of TV out. Otherwise, think to yourself: do you really want to spend $170 on another system that's simply just lighter?
Q: Is there anyway to make the screen full-screen when playing a game on a PSP with component cables?
A: There is currently no official solution. The homebrew scene is working on something to remedy that, but right now the PSP-2000 has no official way of displaying games in full-screen.
Q: How are software updates handled on import PSP systems?
A: Firmware updates will be region-specific. So, if you have a Japanese system, you'll install Japanese firmware on it. This will mean certain things will appear on the XMB not found in other territories, like PlayStation Spot. This won't do anything harmful to your system. It just means you'll have access to things that are unavailable or uncommon in your area.
