GamesRadar finds ten of the world's best gamers, you aren't one

Sorry, neither are you, Jimmy Woods. However, ten other ~~virgins~~ incredibly skilled gamers made it onto GamesRadar's "Ten of the godliest gamers" list, playing the games they've spent humbling portions of their lives mastering. From Street Fighter to Minesweeper, prepare to have your opinion of your own gaming skills blown to smithereens. Think you're good at Tetris? Can you play at the speed of light, with invisible blocks? We thought not.

Forgive us if we glance at these videos with apprehension. Don't get us wrong, the list is impressive; we're just a little hurt that we weren't included. We don't mean to brag, but we used to know a thing or two about a little game called Pokemon Snap. We've been told that seeing our photo of a newly-evolved Charizard bursting from the depths of a volcano, skin glistening from the polish of magma, is like feeling your soul stir deep within your chest. Please, if you have a moment, let us show you them.

If the world knows a thing about great games, hopefully this will cue hundreds of replies about how great Pokémon Snap is.

The best part was taking the cartridge and printing the Pokemans to show to people. Imagine using an SD card for printing.

Pokemon Snap was an AWESOME game. You just reminded me of how badly I want a sequel :(

When will we get it for VC? I would give joo more moneys for it Nintendo!

I have only two complaints about Pokemon Snap. First, it was too short. Second... what the hell do you mean it's not in the centre of the frame?! The second shot was clearly better than the first! &@$!ing Professor Oak! He knows nothing of the true art of photographing Pokemon!

But that only happened occasionally and the first problem could easily be fixed with a sequel, Nintendo. Hint, hint.

I feel inferior at games watching a deaf, blind quadraplegic playing, so I'm not even going to bother with the entrants on this list.

I've been first on Smash Football a few times, and I'm high up on a couple of CS:S, HL2:D and TF2 servers. But it ends there! Some of them chaps, especially the Portal one, are pretty... "l33t".

That Puyo combo was insane; I didn't know there was a garbage block symbol beyond boulder, let alone two of them. =^o.o;^=

That Street Fighter clip is still one of the greatest videos that I've ever seen. Unbelievably brilliant.

The list is utter bollocks. Sure it's impressive but just by looking at the two videos GamesRadar doesn't know what its about. Godliest Gamer lol with the first video the list is absolutely invalid, the SF3 guy lost the finals, that was the semi-finals a big massive mark. Puyo Puyo sure its a big chain but look at the level sigh. Five Minute Mario, I saw a video with lots of PPL doing it

Daigo, or as you said "the SF3 guy", is widely known as being the godliest SF player on Earth. So who "doesn't know what it's about"?

That DDR one is so old, and not impressive anymore.

I used to rock at Pokemon Snap. I could get the cutesiest photo of pikachu on a surf board. What thats not gay >.>

Sadly, I've seen most of those before.

My complaint? The Puyo Pop one was enabled. The opponent did a slow holding pattern, not doing any combos. It was entirely orchestrated, which takes it down 15 pegs to "Bored on saturday". Still an okay video.

Also, my habit of pimping SDA (www.speeddemosarchive.com) for those who actually enjoy watching games played very fast, and very well. Or essentially, world record times. Sorry :).

Puyo Pop, Tetris and SF2 ones were amazing..

Being highly-ranked at a game is meaningless. Games are fine for entertainment, but unless you are winning tournaments for the prize money, success in a game has no positive bearing on real-life success. And I much prefer real-life success ;)

Right just like being awesome at a sport is pointless unless you're a pro player.

You know, wouldn't want to do things like have fun, or have a life outside of the hobby or anything.

I found the 95% on Jordan to be far more imrpessive than 99% on free bird...and the video showing it off shows both the screen and the actual fret-work...

And that Mario video is probably tool-assisted. But I got a good laugh out of the Puyo Pop video XD

This is all part of their evil, evil plan...don't let them break your spirit! First most of our arcades were allowed to wither and die (robbing us of important training grounds for insane game players), now they're showing us propaganda like this.

Its all part of a diabolical conspiracy whereby, once all of our wars are fought with remote controlled giant robots, Japan will have a superior base of people with the requisite skills for controlling them.

LOL...I play games with friends on XBL for a few hours per week, and my coworkers tell me I have no life. They should really see this video. Sadly, gaming doesn't pay the bills...yet. ;-p

Puyo Popped is Dr. Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine! I LOVED that game! But why did they have to change the characters and name? :P

And yes, it wasn't that impressive, because it was set up. In a normal game, that player would have been toasted in the first minute of play.

Not a bad list.

For DDR, I personally like the one legged guy doing it. He used crutches, but damn impressive all the same.

It doesn't matter if Daigo lost in the end, that moment was amazing.

Finally, I have to add slayers_boxer to the list. Particularly during the finals against yellow where he does a huge scv rush with a few marines.

One more thing, you have to add fatality. Particularly when he went from quake to ut2003 and proceeded to decimate the competition. I didn't actually think he'd be able to transfer over, but you have to give credit where it's due.

I scratched my head on the DDR one. They showed like 10 guys doing the Legend Road course together when there are people out there that do the entire course alone and still score better lol...

Rest of the list isn't much better either. But my other objections have already been listed by other people. =)

The "-virgins-" line is funny as hell.

These are far from the "top ten gamers", hell, it doesn't even have Ken on it.

Sad thing is, personally, that version of tetris, where you can hold, makes it almost easier, for those pro minded players.

I wish I had the time to play like that but sadly playing videogames doesn't pay the bills :(

Anyhow that portal video was awesome,I might try that someday.

Lol. What is the Guitar Heroe video doing in there. That just makes this whole article lose credibility.

the DDR one is VERY wrong, there's a rythm game that came out at the same time in korea, it's pretty much like DDr but it has 5 steps and it's called pump it up. In the latest version of the game there are songs that are so fast they make DDR cry.. None of those players could evening think of taking on an average Pump it up song, which has a much more demanding difficulty.. Go ahead and youtube it, one of the hardest songs lately is called "chimera".

I think it's funny that I'm one of the only people on here that can say they can beat one of those people at their game.

Jimmy Woods is better than all those geeks. He was like 8 years old then and still could have whooped dat ass, imagine how good he was once he got to be 18? Hustlin' people down at the arcade, getting 50,000 on Double Dragon without breaking a sweat...that 'tard probably got more pussy than the first 20 posters in this comment section. Combined.
