Thank God I have a Zune.

Anyway Microsoft or Apple should fix this so I would not worry.

Unless this is a tactic to get ipod users to get an apple TV...which would suck.

easo - the 80 gig Zune is hardly a match for the 16 gig ipod Touch, Apples and ... POS's...

but seriously, the 80 gig Zune is a dedicated mp3/vid player, the Touch is something completely different, especially if it's "jailbroken"

"Apple or Microsoft should get on the horn, kiss and make up and throw a new Optional iPod Support download on the XBLM or fix it via a firmware update"

Yes, and while they're at it maybe Apple can fix those rampant iTunes-Vista compatibility issues.

This is only going to make me want to buy a Zune now and drop iPod. Alex Cormier made a comment about why not just hook the iPod up to a stereo system or a TV.

I perfer to play games with my own music and its not the same because I want the sound effects without the music in-game (and play my music instead). So now I have to go into my settings and reduce my music to a zero, have FX sound up, and then connect the iPod to my stereo. Bad move I'll just buy a Zune and drop iPod's all together unless they shape up their acts. For the time being I will just not update my firmware.

My Ipod Touch never worked with my 360. No big deal, I can just stream music from computer through from my home network. Sure it should work but will I lose sleep? If your 360 playing tunes is the center of your life...eek.

Ipod vs Zune = Status vs Value. No amount of arguing will prove either one is "better" than the other. Have fun with that one...

I think I've connected my iPod (first generation Nano) to my Xbox all of once when I first got it, and since buying a Classic, I've had no need to.

That's why they should've bought a Zune. Got mine day 4 yesterday. It's freakin awesome! (Of course my last mp3 player was a 512 meg Creative player, lol.)

My IPOD Video 30G has worked fine since launch, access with the guide button just like the harddrive, only I don't waste space on my 20G with music

I'd get a Zune, except I'd like to actually be able to use it. Last time I checked, Zunes don't work with Macs, which is the kind of computer I use. So I have an iPod, and it works fine for everything I need it for. It's just the 360 doesn't let me access my playlists anymore. >=[

Hooked up my newly updated Zune to my 360 over the weekend and the 360 chugged for a bit and then wouldn't play anything. I imagine a firmware fix is on the way, but I don't think it is iPods only at this point.

"Why not just hook up your iPod to a stereo system or a TV directly?"

Because it's nice to stream the music into the game you're playing. That way, it replaces the game music, and you still get all the sound effects (gunfire, car noises, whatever) from the game. You get to hear your tunes and the game, instead of having to pick one.

Is it just me or does Apple do a lot of the stuff Microsoft does that makes people hate Microsoft? Yet for some reason Apple is perceived as "cool," while Microsoft is the Evil Empire.

For what it's worth, I don't have strong feelings of love for either company, but I do think it's strange that Apple is hailed as this paragon of business, while Microsoft is reviled for a lot of the same tactics.

Anyone ever heard of something called "Enabled for Disk Use"? Yeah, not available on the iPhone/iPod Touch. I swear, some people.
