New games this week: Leftovers edition

You know, there were so many good releases last week, are you sure you really got your fill? Are you sure there's nothing you'd like to go back and get? Because honestly, the Game Train got derailed at some point this week on its way to Happy Time Station.
Unless you want to play the hit new game from The History Channel or are having people over to play Cranium Kabookii on the Wii, there's just not much here for you. We'll be dipping into the back catalog; you probably should too.

But.. but... what about Master of Illusion?
Justin doesn't believe in Magic... and/or Nintendo... and/or Mark MacDonald confirmed?
BTW Justin, who is this Griffin fellow? Is he your Evil (Good?) twin?
Neon Jebus @ Nov 26th 2007 9:35AM
I think that is his younger, more handsome brother.
Not that Justin isn't dreamy.

I've no idea what you're talking about. I was TOTALLY looking forward to Strawberry Shortcake 4.
...namely because my replacement drums for Rock Band STILL haven't shipped. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

While I would totally rock out on Strawberry Shortcakes for myself and roommates, I also eagerly await my replacement drumset for ROCKBAND.
Just out of curiousity... was it the yellow button/drum that broke on yours too?

If I didn't already own Puzzle Quest on two other systems now, and Geometry Wars on another, I'd totally be about picking these up.
Of course, I got the new FFXI expansion pack this last weekend, so that'll keep me occupied for a long while. As will DQM: Joker and FFXII: Revenant Wings.

Such a pixelated picture...oh and did you really like THAT Dragon Quest?
BTW, LOL.

Is that Electroplankton?

I'll be grabbing the DS Geometry Wars and giving that a go. I haven't heard anything about it, but I'm a consumer whore and Black Friday just wasn't enough spending for me.
megaStryke @ Nov 26th 2007 9:58AM
Cruis'n is out. All is well in the world.

I played the Wii Geometry Wars yesterday for the first time. I have to say, it's pretty awesome. Especially in multiplayer.
I might have to pick up the DS one just to get the cross link stuff, or maybe I could just rent it and unlock it that way...
Either way $30 isn't too shabby for portable awesome.

On another note... Uncharted is a blast to play.

Lucky for me that I am too busy with the recent good new games to find out if History Channel: Battle for the Pacific is as bad as the History Channel: Civil War game. Ouch.
Mr Khan @ Nov 26th 2007 11:25AM
And now begins the run of no games/shitty games that will last until February
The notable exceptions being Unreal Tournament III and NiGHTS 2

They need to rename "The History Channel" to "The History of American War Channel"
I can't remember the last time I saw a non-war related show on the history channel. I mean, I like hearing about WW2 and the Civil War over and over again as much as the next guy, but I thought there was more to history than political conflict with bloodshed.
Then again, maybe not.
gonk @ Nov 26th 2007 12:47PM
they do a lot of friggin alien conspiracy shows too, and they're real gay
yeah i get a little tired of ww2 sometimes too, it'd be nice if they did some other wars, like from the roman era, or middle ages (they do very rarely, but not enough)
NATO_Duke @ Nov 26th 2007 4:21PM
They cant do other wars. There is a quota to make wherein a show with Hitler on it must be on TV each hour of the day.
If it wasn't for them gameshows like Press Your Luck may have contestants screaming "no hitler, no hitler, no hitler - damn!"
Oh yeah, I made a no Whammy reference!
