PSN a source of PAIN this Thursday

If you're the sort who revels in the suffering of polygonal citizens, laughing maniacally as ragdoll physics drag their flailing bodies down the stairs and into physically awkward and often impossible positions, the PlayStation Network has the game for you this Thursday. Concisely dubbed "PAIN," the downloadable title hopes to indulge your vicious impulses and charge you $9.99 to repeatedly launch a man from a giant slingshot into an oncoming bus.
Though the game injects several different modes (they had us with "Mime Toss") and online features into the proceedings, we wonder if the game's longevity will extend beyond that of the game'sprotagonist protagonized. We can't wait to find out.

Master chief is Gordon Freeman grand son.
If there is a lesson to be learn in Half-life 2 is that girls dig athletic PHD scientists that can kill zombies with a gravity gun (Even if they are 10 or 15 years older).
Now if you excuse me I have to join a gym, finish my homework and invent a gravity gun,Oh..and invent zombies
too.

That would imply that someone could get behind Freeman.

Good sirs, not only could Gordon beat MC and discover a unified field theory....
But Dr. Kleiner would teleport MC to some sterile room with a companion cube.

As a guy who has done anything from using the slowdown mode in Turok 2 in conjunction with explosive shotgun rounds to play bounce the raptor to happily staking enemies in Painkiller to all sorts of hilarious places, I am intrigued by this game. However, it will live and die by how much time is needed to play it.
I could never get into Stardust because you CAN'T just sit down to play it for about 10 minutes while waiting for some friends to get online. Gripshift was a bit friendlier in that regard. If this game doesn't sport short challenges or even a free mode, it won't get my money.

Looks like it'd be interesting for a little while then would get old. Similar to the Wii, this is probably just going to be a fad.

Pokemon was called a fad.
Sold 164 million of units... second bestselling franchise of all time with the fastest selling ones released just this year, 11 years later.
obviously off topic, but makes you wonder what in the video game world isn't a fad.

The total lack of demos on PSN is keeping me from considering this. Not going to chance $10 on a turd.
