I am too, but I wish they would have picked some better songs. Heroes is definitely not one of my favorites. I mean, come on Harmonix, no Ziggy?

David Bowie will not sue. He has the entire resources of the Guild of Calamitis Intent at his every whim. He's not trying to live off a cashiers wage from Walmart.

Go team Venture!
Good form sir, good form!

I'll wait to hear the quality of covers before I buy them though.

OR Ashes to Ashes. Major Tom, like Ziggy, did show up in more than just one song, you know.

btw, does anyone else notice the crappy layout of the menus for this dlc on xlive? after a few months of weekly releases (especially when broken into singles) that list will take a long time to scroll through

So how come Moonage Daydream (which has a sweet solo) is the original master, but the other cuts are covers? Label problems? Also I can't imagine ever getting worked up about 'too good' cover. Of course I didnt think there would even be problems getting the rights to the original masters of all his songs, either.

I still feel sorry for the PS3 fans who bought the full kit (or worse, just the game) to find out that GH3 guitars don't work with PS3 Rock Band. That is some serious bullshit!

Who in his right mind would pay money to download a cover of a song? There is no reason whatsoever that a cover should be priced the same as an original.

Also, "Queen Bitch"? WTF? Wouldn't something like Ziggy Stardust make a little more sense?

for the record... queen bitch is one of the best bowie songs out and ziggy stardust is played out. i would have been happier with five years of perhaps life on mars, maybe even starman. either way this game having 4 bowie songs on it makes me want it even more.

@ CJ

Have to agree on Starman. I would love to see that. I'll take all the Bowie I can get on that game.

Yes, Starman needs to happen along with Soul Love, Hang Onto Yourself and, of course Ziggy Stardust. I'm guessing that since 'Daydream' is a master track all these others would be too. I would hope.

Back in those days, studios wouldn't always keep the masters intact.

Uh, I'm a PS3 user who bought Rock Band. I couldn't give a crap whether the GH controllers work.

a) I never bought a GH game.
b) The RB guitar is soooo superior to those GH toys.

Larz, good for you, but not good for MANY people who expected to use their GH3 axe in Rock Band. Seriously, how can they even explain selling the stand-alone game with no compatible guitars on sale?

I agree whole heartedly that the rock band strat is FAR superior to the les paul and especially the explorer. The down side is the build quality is shit. After my strat started to miss down strums I switched to my xplorer (les paul was being used by the bassist) and the thing just feels so small and lame it will shock you. After someone snapped the kick petal I bought another set.

Couple of steel reinforcement beams and a y-adapter and I now have a $360 Rock Band set.... but it has double bass pedals that can no longer break at least.

Not to mention the bassist is now forced to try for the upstrum achievement, heh.

It works, it's just tricky. For example, your first reply gets the info no prob. But if you reply directly afterward, it biffers out the reply info. So you HAVE to double check to make sure the reply command took if you're replying to more than one message per thread.

If you don't already have a ps3 to play this game on, you can get a free one at the site below.

http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=4379384

All you have to do is refer 10 people and complete an offer. To complete and offer sign up for a discounted trial of something like gamefly or blockbuster or you can sign up for a completely free trail of something else. This is not a scam; I have a friend who has gotten a ps3 from this site. They can afford to do this because the site gets paid by their advertisers.
