This is really strange, just the other day I was thinking to myself how SubSpace would make a wicked XBLA game.

I wonder if this would be online multiplayer? It was 30+ people on each server on the pc. I loved this game, depending on the different zones (which you could create your own maps and fully customizable options such a speed of ship and how powerful weapons were), this game was amazing.

If they could make it 30+ people with custom maps I would put up the cash. But I'm sure this game will just disappoint and shouldn't be compared to Subspace.

From what I can see from TFA, it will only be up to 4 players multiplayer, which is a mega sad face.

TFA said "at least four players", but your statement would seem closer to the truth. Mega sad face indeed.

I wasted a LOT of time playing SubSpace in the late 90's.

Cool! I saw a preview of this at my school. I was one of the first to look at its awesomeness.

Hey guys, my name is Ben and I'm one of the developers of Shred Nebula. I'm really excited you are all talking about the game, but I just wanted to quickly interject...Subspace is just one of MANY influences on this project. The reason it even came up in the first place was because James (president and director) was contrasting our product against the handful of Robotron style games (Geometry Wars, Undertow, Everyday Shooter, Stardust HD, etc.) that are out on the market right now. Hopefully that makes sense, and again, I'm really glad it's being discussed in the first place. :)

any chance of making it MMO-ish? i think you guys would make a killing if you could hack it out. even 32 players would be awesome.

thanks for dropping in.
