In a video interview with IGN (embedded after the break), the outspoken designer notes that non-believers can look forward to a demo of Ninja Gaiden II at "some point," though we suspect it might be after the game's Spring 2008 release if the tardy Dead or Alive 4 demo is any indication. Not that we need much convincing, mind you -- the interview's talk of mutilated enemies exclaiming "It's only a flesh wound!" before wrapping themselves around your legs and committing C4 seppuku has us convinced.
Itagaki expects Ninja Gaiden 2 demo 'at some point'

When Team Ninja's Tomonobu Itagaki tells you Ninja Gaiden II is the greatest action game ever made, he doesn't expect you to take his word for it. No, in today's wondrous online world, he expects you to download the demo and reach that conclusion on your own. Failure to do so, of course, will result in the world's deadliest mammals hurling shurikens through your window and slicing up your special edition copy of Devil May Cry 4.

This game won't get a demo until after release just like DOA4. As much as it saddens me to say it, it's true. Itagaki is like some crazy artist that won't reveal his creation unless it is as good as it can possibly be in his eyes. He doesn't want to hear our criticisms before the game is done. He wants to evaluate it himself and make the changes he sees fit. Fortunately, every Team Ninja game I've ever played has been 100% glitch free. Especially NG, NG: Black and NG: Sigma. Ninja Gaiden is Itagaki's baby. He won't ruin it, and he won't release it to the wild until it's good and ready. Fine with me. I have enough faith in Team Ninja and Itagaki to buy this one without playing it first. Ninja Gaiden on XBOX is the greatest video game of all time in my opinion. I've been waiting for this for a while.

I agree with you completely man...Sigma is the only one that Itagaki didn't work on and that one came out good to...Black is the best action game of all time...Period!....Definitely waiting for this...And NG2 is GOTY material...So the big titles like Killzone and Fable 2 for next year have some serious competition....I think NG2 is more than GOTY material though...I think it will win hands down......I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Ninja Gaiden: Black got dismissed by ALOT of people because it was such an intimidating game. This one sounds like it will still have the same level of difficulty, only not quite a brutally unforgiving with the health regeneration feature. Sound to me though that fans of the XBOX games will want to play this one on the harder levels. I've got a feeling the Normal mode will be a bit too dumbed down for my taste in an effort to help sell the game to a wider audience. Team Ninja is one of those studios that has a history of making great games that go un-noticed and don't sell well. With MS publishing this one instead of Tecmo, I'm sure that is about to change. Fine with me. This franchise deserves it's due credit.

Although the old Master Ninja tournament was cool on the OG Xbox, the achievements will probably really mean something on this. Beating this on the highest difficulty should be a 500pt achievement on its own.

As long as this guy lays off the sexual harassment and doesn't get sued into poverty, he's gonna keep making great games. Plain and simple.

Because:
1. It wouldn't work on the pc
2 IT WOULDN'T WORK ON THE PC!!!
unless they simplify the controls alot, Ryu would be incredibly awkward and difficult on the pc.

Anything a console gamepad can do, a PC gamepad can do as well, so I really don't see what the fork it is that you are talking about.

Could someone logically explain to me how a dude with a leg cut off could become more dangerous than he was before?
And man I hate IGN videos: they're loading times are weak.

Sure, I understand that Magetto, but what are they gonna do, crawl all the way to me despite their hemorrhage?
It's exactly that Monty Python Holy Grail situation with the Black Knight who still thinks he can fight a good fight with his limbs chopped off.

im jealous of you 360 guys. Ninja Gaiden is a great game. i have Sigma for PS3 and damn that is a solid game. its so challenging (or maybe i just suck at games lol). my only complaint was the added character (i believe it was Nina) i absolutely hated using her. other than that, if this game is anything like the previous Ninja Gaiden games it will be a great game.

Cannot wait for this! I hope the difficulty is on the same level as in part 1. If try to make it more "friendly" for noobs I'll be pissed.

Well ,my fellow gamers, there was SIGMA demo before its release and 360's demos go public a lot faster than PS3s so you never know.
This is the ONLY game in the 360s 2008 release line-up I wanna play.....but when I remembered whats releasing for PS3 in 2008, i woke up from my dream!
