At last!!

Tried sending this in 3 times, but kept getting a delivery failed message back.

But who cares! I'm getting downloadable HD movies next week!!

Finally a reason to trade-in for an Elite with it's big ol' hard drive now :o)

booya baby.

250 MSP = $4.00 CAD
380 MSP = $6.08 CAD

I'll definitely give this a try when it launches...plus I have over 10GBs of space on my HDD so that won't be a problem. :D I'll probably have a movie night sometime during the Xmas break with my gf and my family...and then they can see the truely awesome power of the 360. :D lol

I wonder if we'll get free downloads?

I'm impressed! Not only did they launch the service when they said they would back at E3, but the prices aren't as bad as I thought they would be..

I've been mentally preparing myself for the anticipated dodgy pricing but then they go and do this!

Works out less than Blockbuster.

SD = 250MSP = £2.13
HD = 380MSP = £3.23

Not only is this sensible pricing, but *shock horror* it's good value too! From Microsoft!! I know!!!

the prices are universal, which is the point of the MS points. all prices are the same in all regions, but the cost per point is relative to your currency. works out nicely for things like this so we can all discuss in a "currency" we know. good work ms, bring out the xbl marketplace everywhere.

Thank freaking god. Now I just gotta get an ethernet connection running into my den (I've been swapping my 360 between the den and computer room for Live access).

Hopefully MS will start working on licensing HDTV shows for Canada once they get the XBVM up and running.

at least you get something. I have an US xbox 360 and I live in Japan. I get nothing from the US video marketplace even though I can see all of the movies.

Actually, the Canadian XBVM is not nearly as good as the UK one. See here:

http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/community/jade/articles/1207/default2.htm

The page linked in this article is for the UK (and possibly more of Europe) only. The link above is for Canada. As you can see, the pricing is much worse, at 610 MS Points for an HD Current movie (it's 480 in the US). The movie selection to begin is also much worse, as there are pratically no current movies or blockbuster movies, save maybe the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They mentioned in the article that they're planning to add 300, Ocean's Thirteen and more to the list, but as of now, Canada's XBVM SUCKS.

1)There are the same amount and smae type of movies at launch as the usa hade.

2)Movies will be added each month.Both brand new and library.

6 months from now there should be about 200 movies on the video market place.

Yeah but that pricing blows. Expecially when the Canadian dollar is higher than the American one.
