We don't know if you've done your holiday shopping yet, but take it from us: You'll want to get it out of the way before Dec. 13. Because after that day, the roads will be littered with psychopaths actively trying to get in collisions, all thanks to the new demo for Burnout Paradise.
You can check out the countdown on Criterion's site, but don't expect to get any more details or even learn what systems the demo is coming to. Of course, with PSN getting updated on Thursdays (which the 13th is) we expect both 360 and PS3 owners will be making auto body shops very happy next week.

Serious question, can you even download demos with the Wii? Seems like Nintendo wants you to buy games without a demo, or re-buy them on the virtual console.
Sucks for you guys.

I think since the demo is coming out on a thursday, and psn is updated on thursday, the ps3 demo is the one being mentioned.
Has the 360 seen demos at the end of the week, or is it always in the beginning?

Criterion has always been a primarily Playstation developer. Burnout: Paradise was designed specifically for the PS3 hardware. We're talking common sense here.

Burnout 1 and 2 came out on GC. Can we please see Burnout on Nintendo consoles? Man!

This is a different kind of game. It's a sandbox racer. Like the Atari Test Drive Unlimited except good. It has immediate jump-in/jump-out play online.
So it doesn't really fit N's console, which won't let you play with other individuals without keying in long strings of digits first.

If Burnout Paradise wasn't being designed on the PS3 and ported to 360, and the demo wasn't being released on a Thursday, I might be inclined to agree. I'll call it now, PS3 demo next Thursday with a 360 demo to follow the Wednesday after.

All of the footage and previews I have seen are for the PS3. I wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 gets the demo first like the Simpsons game.

This flatout looks like THE racing game of this gen.
Look at what they did with the port of Revenge, that game still looks good.
Can't wait for this, finally a FUN current-gen racer.
