Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack image overload

Holy screenshots! Bungie has posted a digital ton of screenshots taken from the upcoming Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack. We've taken the liberty of nabbing the screenshots and adding them to our Heroic Map Pack gallery for your perusal. Perhaps the most interesting shots of the bunch are the shots of Foundry, the map built especially for Forge. There are several shots of the level in different configurations, giving us an idea of what's possible. Check out all the screenshots in the gallery below.

So, are you planning on purchasing the Heroic Map Pack next week?

Yes im picking up this map pack and its well worth it im going to be spending hours in forge on foundry.

what are you gonna do once your done making your forge maps? How do you get people to play on them with you?

I made several forge maps and since theirs no custom game browser, I can never get people to play on them with me.

how long do I have to wait until they're free again? My guess is I'll wait. I've got other games to play right now and I still have work to do on single player, co-op and metagame Halo 3. I think once it goes free it'll be a nice little bonus to get me back into multiplayer. I'll save it.

hmm. this game was fun, I used to play it before COD4.

COD4 is great! But I still keep going back to Halo3. I'll be getting these. Can't wait.

I remember good ol halo 3. Yup, those were the days before cod4, assassins creed, and mass effect.

There's no why in hell I will buy these maps and $10. Maybe if they were for COD:4 but not for Halo.

wow. you guys are really outrageous with the call of duty crap. its good but come on what happened to devoted fans of halo. geez. i will definitely buy these maps no problem at all for me.

I agree. CoD4 is great, but Halo is still the awesomeness it always was.
I hate the fact that they'll be $10, but not enough to wait 2-3 months.

I'll probably wait. I already spent $410 to be able to play it. Don't get me wrong - I love being able to jump online , playing a quick game, get on with life. Plus my wife enjoys the arcade demos. Maybe I should have just played Halo 2 for another year. (Rambling over)

I honestly haven't loaded Halo 3 in almost 2 months. Orange Box, Super Mario Galaxy, Rock Band... Who has time?

Even with all those great games you mentioned, you must not forget your Halo 3 needs love too. Just pop it in every now and then to play some Team Slayer. Trust me. Halo 3 will love you for it.

i also have not picked up halo since Cod:4 came out. but then again i actually started playing gears of war again as well.

I anxiously await the arrival of this map pack. I can see why some people would wait though. There are so many good games out right now, spring will be here in no time.

Im already bored of COD 4 and went back to halo with friends and it was blast i dont know why i left.

Halo has everything anyone could want in a game, gosh I love me some Halo!

i used to play halo 3, but now since call of duty came out i havent played it and i lost all my skills i miss playing halo 3 but i cant put the COD 4 down. ill still buy the maps and as fars as being $10 dollars someones got to pay bills .....

One map in a mountain area from what I see with a bunch of little posts all over the land and the atv on the bottom right, looks just like a Battlefield 1942 map, I mean exactly just not in the snow. Wouldn't be surprised if that map inspired this one, cause that was a fun objective map.

CoD4 sucks. The maps are too expensive, but I'll still get em. And CoD4 still sucks.

I'll definitely get these maps but won't play them til I get tired of cod4! I haven't touched halo 3 since cod4 released...halo 3 is a great game but cod4 is game of year!

I usually pick up any Halo stuff right away, but I may actually hold off on these, as I'm having so much fun online with CoD I haven't even touched H3 since CoD came out.

Real talk...depends on if my friends get them. If my crew for Team Slayer gets them and they're part of the Team Slayer hopper, I'll get 'em now. If not, later.

I'm with Toro...I've got both COD4 and Halo 3 and I love 'em both. I just can't go from one to the other or I'll be throwing grenades instead of reloading or throwing grenades when I'm trying to zoom in with the sniper rifle for an hour. :(

Has anyone actually played on user-created Forge maps yet?

Oh yeah! Forge is awesome! I have made a few maps, downloaded a few. It's fun when you are playing with friends, which is all I do on there anymore! I have a great map on my file share right now. it's called AIR BATTLE!!!!!!! and AIR BATTLE!!!!!! V.2 (has tanks). Really fun maps.

Cool, because I haven't heard much about it in the forums or press.

Still not worth 800 points. If there was one more map I might consider.

Looks like I'll be playing the waiting game.

Last time I put Halo in I had to re-learn the controls. When they're free I'll pick them up. Play them for a week maybe then put Halo away again. I just don't have the Halo-fetish that so many fanboys seem to share.

Now I'm on COD4 but rest assured the moment the next thing comes along I'll stop playing that too even though the COD fanboys will be all about it regardless of what else is out until they all get to jump to COD5.

Fanboyism is idiotic. It keeps you from enjoying all that's offered. Same goes for this stupid 360 vs. PS3 nonsense. Like any of these clowns are getting a paycheck from Sony of Msoft? Just shut up already and play a game. Remember, that's why you bought the machine in the first place?
