Looking very nice.. and bloody. I hope it's a little easier than the Xbox Ninja Gaiden. I sucked at that.

I'm not trolling here but maybe someone can explain to me why the game appeals to them. For me, it's just a hack and slah update to Double Dragon. Walk, button smash smash smash, kill 5 guys in a group, walk some more and repeat. I just don't get it. I don't like RPGs either so maybe it's a cool game but just not my thing...

The game is not nearly as mindless as the video makes it appear. The AI is mercilessly difficult and each weapon has several combos available to them. In a nutshell, that's what separates Ninja Gaiden II from the other action games out there. Oh, and the fact that it plays like a dream has something to do with it too.

@MrMuggs
to answer your question you kinda have to define why do you play video games in the first place. People (obviously) game for different reasons. Some may enjoy a well crafted story or social interaction (in whatever form the game provides) and sometimes the pleasure just comes from playing.
For me, I enjoyed the first NG on xbox when I got to the point where each battle was a matter of 'relaxing' enough to be aware of all the enemies present and being able to adapt to them to fight effectively; not just concentrating on one at a time but being able to react and juggle hits around.The fighting engine was smooth and fluid enough to make this possible.
A short answer may be (and I'm going to paraphrase and butcher a quote here):
The enjoyment of Ninja Gaiden comes not from the destination but the journey of getting there.

I hope they make this just as hard as the original on the xbox. Games are too easy today. Beating NG on hard was a great game accomplishment in the day.
