How is this news. Haven't they been delaying some content for silver membership since the 360 came out? I remember times before i got my gold membership when I first got the 360 that i'd read about stuff and then see that it said it wasn't available to silver accounts.

I am a gold member and I dont necessarily agree with this policy. It is a good idea for popular DLC that will put a strain network, slowing everything down for everyone but it should not take a week for the content to become available to non-silver members.

Just more crap to try and justify charging for a service that should be free. Notice how the more and more people post on their forums about how Live should be free they start giving away little perks that are as worthless are their entire service?

They must be realising how bad it looks when all of their of xbot drones can only try to justify the charge by saying "you get what you pay for" and "It's only $50"

No it hasn't always been like this. Quite a while ago there was some very large threads on their forums about live being a rip off and a couple weeks later they started saying silver members would have to wait a week for new content. That lasted all but a week or 2 and MAYBE 1 in 20 new game demos would have the restriction. I know because I was a silver account that sat back laughing as I downloaded almost every new demo that hit the marketplace the day they were released.

Microsoft views their gold subscribers as the dumbest consumers on earth and they're right. Anyone who pays for peer to peer gaming, screenshots, wallpapers, and map packs is a retard. The same type of retard that pays for wallpapers and ringtones on their cell phone. Bottom feeding retarded consumers who know nothing about what they're paying for.
