Hopefully they tone down the difficultly on this one, the last few have been way way way too tony hawk like hard, turned me off the Burnout series and it used to be one of my favorites.

I'm sorry but I'm shocked to hear this. Burnout 3 may have been a little difficult, but Burnout Revenge was way too easy. Half the fun of the Burnout titles is the challenge of maintaining your speed without crashing in a giant ball of flames.

On another note I'm kind of disappointed in this edition of Burnout (I know, I haven't played it yet) but it really seems to me like the developers have shifted the attention of the series off of racing.

It really appears to me as though they wanted to make a game more focused on big crashes, jumps, and the free world. This sucks for me because I fell in love with Burnout as a racing title, I never enjoyed the crash mode. Oh well, I'll be able to finally tell if I want to buy it or not once the demo is released.

You can tell that we have really hit a lull in gaming, when the videos of box art creation, DLC preview videos, and videos talking about demos are picking up the headlines.

Can't wait until there's a video where they show the phone in the conference room where the executives talk about all the money they're going to make.

What?! Lull in gaming?! Are you kidding? These past few months have been the greatest in gaming history! Halo 3, COD4, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Guitar Hero 3, Rock Band... etc.

Besides, these are not headlines. Joystiq is a blog, not a news outlet. Talking about upcoming demos and downloadable content is what they're all about.

I loved the racing in the Burnout series. Loved. I loathed/hated/wishedicouldpeeonandsetonfire the open world game of Need for Speed Underground 2. thank EA. Although, I could be wrong...
