ToyFare Magazine recently did a feature on the 50 greatest fictional weapons of all time, listing the Gears of War Lancer chainsaw gun among the ranks of the Green Lantern's ring, Thor's hammer, and Megatron (you know, when he's in gun form).
And when sexy bachelor designer CliffyB learned that one of his weapons made the list, he did what any of us would have proudly done: totally geeked out and sent in pictures of his toy collection.
A brief interview with Mr. Bleszinski reveals his favorite items in the collection, the all-importance of combining chainsaws and guns, as well as the undeniable truth that nothing is worthwhile until they've made action figures of it. So true, CliffyB. So true.

The way you say "trans" makes me never able to hear the name "Transformers" the same way again.

the list itself is pretty lame simply because they put He-man and green lantern above lightsabers? Give me a freakin break. Only the kids with downs ran around pretending to have he-mans sword or green lanterns ring, practically every kid has swung an imaginary lightsaber at one point in their life.

Dude, the lightsaber is cool, but the Green Lantern ring is the ultimate weapon, limited only by the bearer's will power.
But I have to agree with you on He-man's sword.

No link to the list itself? I want to see how the Klobb stacks up against the top weapons!
Not very well you say?
What about the double Klobb?

Yeah, why is it that Games Workshop is continuously ripped off and never given credit? Even Blizzard steals from them Zerg=Tyranids, and originally the Orcs were nearly identical until they were gayed up in WC 3 as misunderstood shamans. Alot is owed to Games Workshop

He even has the import THS-02 Optimus Prime from Japan. That is hard core.

I agree too. Might as well made a space marine/imperial guard game. No licensing fees that way. But yeah even though GW are bunch of priceraisng fuckers they do have good properties. (but come on warhammer fantasy rips tolkien to be fair)

To be fair, GW borrows a lot from everything else.. Alien, Terminator, Dune, etc etc etc. But the sawblade gun and the fact the guys all look like Space Marines is pretty obvious where they're borrowing from. It wouldn't hurt to give a nod to GW for some of their success.

I find the transformers stuff uninspiring, but that's obviously just me! I'll give him props for that G.I. Joe with 'Kung Fu Grip™' and the Space Battleship Yamoto. Plus he 'transformed' his look and looks a lot more presentable. So high marks for all that.

I am deeply surprised that CliffyB doesn't have a Jazz Jackrabbit, AKA the most awesome character he has ever created, figurine on his desk. There ain't nothing better than a little bunny with a big-ass gun.
