The Oblivion character models had pretty low-res faces, but they at least lacked the clay-looking Halo 2 faces shown in this trailer. I'm not sure which is better, they're both jarring in their own ways.

The artist name is actually spelled "Seryoga" if my research serves me right. I've seen it spelled different ways however so I'm sure it depends on the language it's written in, but if you google "Seryoga" you'll find the best results.

Mind-blowing graphics in a GTA game? If that is what any of you are expecting, then you will be disappointed. Period. This will look better than the last game, that's for sure, but I for one look forward to each GTA because each iteration has been the best sandbox game of its generation. I've had this reserved for months, and eagerly anticipate its release.

pssh. Just like with any sequel, GTa4 will keep the same core gameplay, but it will improve on them. That's a sequel.

Anyways, game looks good, of course it's not going to look as good as some games cause of the size of the damn game.
Also this trailer confirmed one thing, Nico is a fucking bad-ass. Can't wait till this game comes out.

I noticed it too, but that was the same with all the GTA3 titles. I kind of just credited it to the "GTA Style", that's how I see it.

You can't tell looking at a shitty GameVidios embed. The HD version on Game Traliers looks nicer but you still can't tell at want speed the video was encoded. We have to wait till the game comes out to pass judgment.

I downloaded the HD gametrailer version before i posted, so yes, unless that was encoded from a crap source, its pretty poor. Not to say that the game wont be ace, just developers shouldnt try to push graphics ahead of gameplay. Assassins creeds framerate was boarderline, but this would be unplayable.

I'm actually super excited for this game. Second most anticipated game of 2008, first being Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core on PSP(played the Japanese version and it's fucking amazing).

I can't believe how bitchy some people are about graphics, the game looks great, in fact, its amazing that it looks that great when you take into account the amount of content it has to deal with at all times... Creating a living city experience takes a big toll on everything and you can't really compare an FPS like COD4 (as amazing as the game is) with GTA, different genre's and different constraints

Agreed. Craming a 30 characters on a "nearly lineal" stage is not the same as cramming 20 in a game where you purportedly can see realtime architecture from far away.

Some of you are complete douche bags. I'm one to hate pre-rendered trailers but this is in game footage come on. I've played all the freakin GTA games, I think I can figure what the game will look like once the camera moves behind the player and the hud appears. The player models and frame-rate look a little poor (I'd like to at least see the frame-rate improve) but the overall style of the graphics is top-notch. It has a real gritty movie look to it (People are whining that it's brown). F*** You.

Looks promising to me. I know the graphics aren't gears of war quality, but what GTA game has been in the forefront of graphics? For that matter, what GTA game has had the best control scheme? It's the open world that makes the game fun. Not sure why people keep forgetting that. I can't wait to ride around town doing wheelies on a bike for hours on end looking for packages and sweet jumps.
