Aqua Teen devs to develop, publish PlayStation Network games

Fresh off of Midway's laboriously titled and unanimously panned Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am for the PlayStation 2, who can blame Creat Studios from wanting to try something different? The studio, which operates out of both Massachusetts and Russia, has announced a new deal with Sony that will allow it to develop and publish both its own and other company's games over the PlayStation Network.

While no specific titles have been announced so far, we're hedging our bets that N-Cube and Warbit, two mysterious titles from Creat that appeared on last September's DualShock 3 compatibility list, are among them. Just back away from those Adult Swim licenses and we'll all stay friends.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't really think the show was all that funny... maybe (hopefully) they'll change it up a bit when they start developing games?

Well here's to actually reading the article... looks like crummy games go with crummy shows, just like the movie / game thing. Not terribly exciting.

There were a lot of stupid episodes, but some were hilarious. The first couple of Mooninites episodes and Dumber Dolls were great.

The show was usually funny but it's definitely not everyone's sense of humor, it would vary between inane to dry to sardonic to gross out, and uh, that's not exactly the most popular blend of comedy, haha.

I was just thinking this the other day. I see all the awesome Adult Swim games on their website and thought "man they need to have their own indie game's studio and do PSN and XBLA".

Hopefully their games are better than the Aquateen game. I have a feeling it mostly sucked because of it's 'required' close ties with the show and it's characters etc.(and randomness).

Too bad they don't own the IP's to the adult swim website games. I would throw down $3 on PSN for an HD '5 minutes to kill yourself'.

I'm right with you. I really enjoy their flash library and I think they'd all be worth a couple of bucks. Especially Bible Fight with online multiplayer. That would be awesome.

the latest turtles game sucked a fat one, but I'll agree with you on the NES original turtles game, and the turtles arcade game.

I am still waiting for "Clam-digger" the game. Im ready for Jerry to call me up and say, "I bet I can dig more clams than you!" and Im all like, " Na-ah boy I can dig more clams than you!" and the object of the game is to find parking.
