2K pulls wraps off Don King Presents: Prizefighter

So, how does Don King spend his time when he's not killing dudes, crafting boxing superstars or randomly appearing on the VGAs? Well, he's down in his basement crafting video games, of course! Next spring, the fruits of his labor, Don King Presents: Prizefighter will finally be loosed upon the world thanks to 2K Games. Helping Don out will be 2K developer Venom Games (the guys that did Rocky and Rocky Legends).

Though the game will include the boxing you'd expect, players will apparently also be challenged with "overcoming adversity and avoiding temptation." Though we're intrigued by the "real-life fight scenarios, story-driven gameplay and photo-realistic graphics" the press release promises, there's a bigger question on our minds: This thing's only coming to Xbox 360, Wii and DS. Why is the PS3 not getting any love?

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a delayed release. Gives'em time to figure out how to hustle already $400-less PS3 owners(like myself)out of extra money not just for this game, but some extra crap we prolly don't need in the first place(like Robin Givens). ;]

I think a more important question is "How are they planning on pulling off those 'photo-realistic graphics' on the Wii and DS?"

Will we be "challenged by the temptation" to bite our competition's ear off? Will we be "overcome adversity" by defending ourselves in court after beating our wife?

PS3 is more expensive to develop for, and has a small install base. It isn't worth the developer's time/effort to reach such a small install base.

well Sony is finally realizing this and dropping the cost of dev kits but it looks like it was too little, too late for this game.

I actually have my hair in a very simular look with Don King's....but in my case it's more of an anime-inspired look. I do it becuase it makes me different.
