I'm pretty pissed that Syriana is in this collection as I bought it a few months ago at full price. Picked up Departed and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang instead.

Vosko has good taste. I was looking and was rather blah about the offerings until my co-workers looked at me funny after I blurted out "Oooo, Road Warrior". That movie is so great... The Trilogy would make a truly amazing PS3 game too...

The good news? Blu Ray has another BOGO sale.

The bad news? HD DVD is still going to show up with Harry Potter AND Bourne this week.

That is all.

You BD fanboys realize that some of us are getting these $19.95 BD movies at Amazon for less than $8 a piece with these B1G1 promos, which means of course BD is outselling HD DVD. And Sony is losing a hell of a lot of money. I wouldn't consider 3 to 1 winning when they are selling movies at a loss, but then again there is no arguing with you people. I own both formats so I don't care either way.

The Nielsen ratings don't count Amazon, so the lead that Blu-ray has is independent on the BOGO (buy 1 get 1 free) sales on Amazon

Plus, if you look at the top selling movies every given week, they're usually the new releases which are never available in a BOGO and Blu-ray movies usually make up most of the top 10

You are exactly correct. Sony loses nothing with a B1G1 promo. haha.

@Brian GTFO Troll

I'd rather back a Format that is giving me all these sweet deals on Movies instead of someone like HDDuD who uses their money to buy out Paramount. So the BDA passes their losses as savings to consumers and HDDuD passes their losses to Viacom, who cares about their fabled $99 fire-day sale 1080i player. In the long run its the Movies that will end up costing YOU more money, so I think this is a great deal that we keep getting with these BOGO sales. More money in my pocket,rather than my money in Paramount's and Toshibas pocket

Sweet! I'm gonna buy Casino Royale, 300, Ghost Ryder and other, BTW I saw (another promotion) that if you purchase Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, you get 10 bucks off one of the previous so I'm getting PotC 3 and 2, and the first one will come by mail along with another 4 when I get my PS3 :)

This is weird... but also awesome! I bet you that blu-ray manufacturing has come down. Even if it hasn't, people are very smart to do this. Blu-ray now increasingly has an edge, and the people making these things know it, so it's kinda like with the ps3-- it cost a lot in the beginning, but over time everything starts to make sense. Some brilliant predictive analysis going on here.

For non-american buyers: Know that amazon will NOT put each movie in a seperate package, and they will put the FULL VALUE of the order on the package. Not what you paid, but what the full price would be. In norway there is a ~36usd limit for how much you can import without a 25% import tax + a flat 15usd process cost. Those cheap movies gets much more expensive quick!

Most movie selling shops seperates each movie with toll friendly info tags on the packages. This is very amateurish and unneccesary by amazon.
