PaRappa dev targets Wii
PaRappa the Rapper developer NanaOn-Sha has announced it will be making a new music-centric game for Nintendo Wii due out in late 2008. It will be published by Majesco. The developer is also responsible for UmJammer Lammy and Vib-Ribbon (never released on the US), as well as the non-musical Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series. The as-of-yet untitled game reunites the development studio with PaRappa artist Rodney Alan Greenblat. No other details are currently available, but here's hoping for another catchy soundtrack to go alongside our PaRappa- and Katamari-infused playlists. For a refresher on what a collaboration between Greenblat and NanaOn-Sha can produce, check out the visual reminder after the break.

as a child, while you were listening to radical music, with your red cap on, your father killed your dog... I understand how you feel, let it out.

seriously is there any other songs that have better lyrics then PaRappa's soundtrack?
baby sea tuna @ Dec 11th 2007 8:26AM
Yes. Most of them. However that doesn't necessarily make it bad.
Crack crack crack, the egg into the bowl,
M-I-X the flour in the bowl
Cheap cheap cheap's the name of my soul!

"Kick, punch, it's all in the mind"
Oh the Wii injuries! :O

Ah, that game brings back fond memories.
"i say boom boom boom, you say bam bam bam
no pause in between come on lets jam."
Phi Nguyen @ Dec 10th 2007 8:39PM
HECK YES!!!
(on a side note, whoever is playing on that first vid can freestyle very well. When I played I would just push the square button as many times as I could to fill the time.)
capt_carl @ Dec 10th 2007 8:43PM
Oh the memories. Sadly I lost my PaRappa disc, but I still have UmJammer Lammy! :D

I find music games AWESOME. I'd love to see what they'd be able to make on Wii.
jesus_bon_jovi @ Dec 10th 2007 10:45PM
just as long as they don't have those terrible cut scenes or intros as in the original Playstation version.. i never saw the remake on the PSP so i dont know if they changed them...

Heh...more like "(Fill in the blank) dev targets Wii" the way it's going nowadays.
