The thing about those games is that they are licensed.
But I agree they are great games.

Good to see that Pokemon Snap is the same price as other Nintendo 64 VC games even though there's new Wii features.

Don't really have any interest in this game, but it's a good sign for future VC games I might want.

I secretly rented pokemon snap when It came out. Stealthed into blockbuster and then ninja dusted out of there so none of my friends would see me renting a pokemon game. Its actually pretty fun and much more attractive a buy with new wii waggle functions. I might be tempted to buy this. (I'll hide it on the last page of the wii channel guide so my friends still won't see it)

Where did you and others read that their are wii-mote controls in Pokemon Snap? The ONLY added feature is being able to export pictures taken in the game to the Wii Message Board. That is all. : sighs: I would say RTFA, but know it won't do me any good.

On a brighter note, I am looking forward to getting Pokemon Snap as I have been wanting a fun and mindless game for VC for a while. I still think I know all the secrets in that game.....

"We've long been morally opposed to the whole Pokemon craze. We just can't condone beating animals senseless, locking them in prisons that are 1/10 their size and then forcing them to repeat the cycle of violence."

I still say Michael Vick should've used "Pokemon" to explain his reasons for "mistakenly" dogfighting. -coy whistling-

I think this will be the first week I get all of the releases.

I cannot wait to have Baseball Stars 2 take over my life.

As for Ghosts n Goblins, I can't wait to have it frustrate me more than any game since Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos. My wife is the only person I know to ever actually beat Ghosts n Goblins.

@ Danny

Oh you! No kidding, Ghost and Goblins was ridiculously hard. Although, it could just be that I was such a youngin' at the time. I remember the original Prince of Persia used to frustrate the hell out of me, going back and playing it again now though, it's rather enjoyable (albeit, still difficult).

You guys are making me feel like some kind of gaming stud :p I beat TMNT on NES (great game). As I said I made it through GnG once (apparently you have to go through twice to get an ending). Also beat the old PoP on PC :) I saw Cobra Triangle on a top ten list of difficult games recently, and I didn't remember it being that hard. I recall hating those birds in the later levels with a passion but I made it through the original Ninja Gaiden. All of the above without any kind of cheats. I always did the Konami cheat in Contra 1 but I got to where I could make it through the game on less than 3 lives. Used to eat up shmups (I recall Thunderforce 3 being rather difficult).

Only a couple of games stand out in memory as being something I played a fair amount but didn't beat:

Castlevania 1
Battletoads
Legacy of the Wizard

They're still on my TODO list, though :)

Although apparently that comment is lost in a ripple of time.

Baseball Stars on the NES is one of the finest baseball games ever made.

I can rip through the original Contra without dying. Ghosts & Goblins, however, is another story... I don't think I've ever seen the third level either.

The farthest I've ever gotten in the original TMNT is inside the Technodrome when Splinter keeps saying "Prepare for the final battle" or something along those lines. I think I had a stroke at that point and died moments later.

I'm curious to those of you that have played Snap. Would this be a game that a 4 year old could play? I'd love to find something that would be great for a 4 year old. She's good at Wii Sports and some stuff on Wii Play, but she's getting bored of those.

As is my understanding, the game is on rails, so all you have to do is point your camera and take pictures of pokemon. So yeah, I'd assume it would be a safe bet for young kids.

Ghosts and Goblins can bite my shiny metal ass. When I throw my wiimote through the TV, I want it to be due to strap-failure, not some insane exercise in frustration.

I don't think GnG isn't a game for the Wii...bet some people are gong to play it with the classic controller...Nintendo would end up having to add straps to those too

The smurf in me thinks this is great news for Nintendo.

The gangsta in me already illegally downloaded those games and is playing them via 360 controller.
