Maybe Nintendo should go back to the day where they allowed companies to only release X number of games each year that were then approved by Nintendo for the shelves. Sure it might make it so that there aren't as many games out there, but then you would know you'd be getting quality products from each company.

The Nintendo Seal of Quality only meant the game would run on the hardware, not that the game was good.

If I see anyone buying these heaps of shit I am going to insert a spoon somewhere unpleasant about their person.

Seriously, the people who buy these games encourage developers to aim for cheap mediocrity.

IGN has been giving some shovelware titles extremely low scores. The titles deserve them no doubt, but I think they have been trying to shirk the 7-10 scale impression we all have of them. When a non-port, major title gets below a 7 I might be convinced that they've changed their ways.

i saw the screenshot and wondered why anyone would be reviewing an n64 game...

racing is my favorite genre, and it's been a looong time since i've played a good one on a ninty console. i hope we see f-zero or wave race on the wii and DS soon.
